Chapter 33- you ought to be mad at me

Her jaw dropped, and she quickly adjusted herself and smiled.

"Oh, sorry, didn't realize someone was here," Amy apologized, reaching out her hand for a handshake.

Kayla was flattered; she hadn't expected one of the world's richest kids to shake her hand at that precise moment.

She quickly accepted the handshake and smiled. She followed her out of the restroom, where they both stood in front of the mirror.

"Nice to see you here for the first time," Amy said after the handshake.

"Oh, thanks," Kayla said slowly, sighing as she quickly understood what Amy was trying to enunciate. 

Her parents had never been invited to such a glitzy event. And she doesn't think that they'll be able to get the invitation in twenty years time. The event was for the world's super-rich billionaire elite, people far, far above her parents.

"We heard the news about you and Alex, is it true? Amy asked, a mischievous grin on her face.
