Adrian’s POV

The silence in the room felt heavier than the weight of chains. Noah sat across from me, his shoulders rigid, his eyes downcast but burning, as if some private storm had taken hold of him. The lamp between us flickered, throwing restless shadows across his face, shadows that only deepened the guilt etched into every line of his expression. I knew that look too well. I had worn it myself, once. And now it was eating him alive.

He had not said the words yet, but I could see the shape of them forming in the tautness of his jaw, in the way his fingers curled restlessly against his knees. His silence screamed louder than anything he could have admitted aloud. And I hated it. I hated seeing him bear the weight of Jasper’s sins as if they were his own.

I reached forward, brushing my fingertips across the back of his hand. He didn’t flinch, but he didn’t look at me either. “Talk to me, Noah.”

Finally, he lifted his gaze, and the fire there almost scorched me. “It should have

Noah's POV The silence in the room felt louder than any scream, my wrists ached where the iron cuffs bit into my skin, and every shallow breath scraped against the knot in my throat, the cold floor beneath me seemed to swallow my body whole, yet my eyes were locked on Adrian across the chamber, his chest rose and fell with effort, his face bruised, blood painting trails down the side of his mouth, but his gaze never wavered, that gaze kept me alive. Jasper stood between us, circling with the ease of a predator who already believed the prey was broken, his footsteps echoed like a drumbeat, steady and taunting, as he tilted his head and smiled, his smile was never warm, never human, but sharp and cruel, as though it was cut from glass, he thrived on the quiet suffering that hung in the air. “You see what loyalty does?” Jasper’s voice dripped with venom. “You see how it weakens you both? I take one, the other bleeds. I strike one, the other cries. Together, you are fragile, pathetic.”

  • HIS BILLIONAIRE'S SECRET {MxM}   CHAPTER 76: MIND GAMES.

Jasper's POV The chains rattled each time Noah moved, a subtle, grating sound that echoed against the stone walls. I sat across from him, elbows resting lazily on my knees, watching him with the kind of quiet fascination one might reserve for a rare piece of art. His wrists were rubbed raw, his breathing shallow but steady, and despite the bruises painting his skin in shades of purple and blue, his eyes still carried that defiant gleam. That gleam both infuriated me and thrilled me. He should have been broken by now. Most men would have begged, screamed, bargained. Yet here Noah was, holding on to something deep within himself, something that even my carefully crafted torment hadn’t been able to reach. That made the game more delicious. It wasn’t just about breaking his body anymore, it was about unraveling the mind that clung to hope like a lifeline. “Do you know what fascinates me about you, Noah?” I asked, tilting my head. My voice was soft, conversational, as though we were s

  • HIS BILLIONAIRE'S SECRET {MxM}   CHAPTER 75: INTO THE LION'S DEN.

Noah’s POV The night stretched wide and heavy above me, the kind of darkness that felt alive, pressing down on my skin as I slipped through the overgrown path that led toward Jasper’s compound. My lungs burned with every controlled breath I took, each inhale measured, each exhale careful, as though the air itself might betray me. The weight of what I was about to do curled in my chest like a vice. This wasn’t a rescue mission with Adrian at my side, this wasn’t the kind of plan where we trusted in each other’s rhythm and strength to carry us through. This was me, alone, walking into the very den of the man who had once been my closest friend. The compound’s silhouette loomed in the distance, cold and jagged against the faint silver glow of the moon. Fences of coiled steel stretched upward, lined with cameras that swept in calculated arcs. Armed guards patrolled in pairs, their rifles slung across their backs. I crouched low in the undergrowth, counting steps, memorizing patterns. My

  • HIS BILLIONAIRE'S SECRET {MxM}   CHAPTER 74: THE FINAL HUNT BEGINS.

Adrian’s POV The night was heavy with silence, a silence that felt unnatural, suffocating even, every shadow seemed to stretch longer than it should, every gust of wind rattled the windows with an ominous warning. I knew this quiet was not peace, but the calm before the storm. Tomorrow, everything would change. Tomorrow, the decisive confrontation would unfold, and whether victory or ruin awaited us, no one could yet say. I sat in the dim light of the war room, maps sprawled across the table before me, strategies drawn and redrawn until the parchment was smudged with charcoal and sweat. The others had gone to their quarters to rest, though I knew rest was impossible tonight. I could still hear the echo of Noah’s voice from earlier, sharp and unwavering as he interrogated the spy, uncovering Jasper’s plan to drag him into a final fight, a fight that could only end with one of them dead. That knowledge burned in my chest, twisting into a knot of rage and fear. Noah was brave, far br

  • HIS BILLIONAIRE'S SECRET {MxM}   CHAPTER 73: INTERROGATION GAMES.

Noah's POV The night pressed heavy around us, the air charged with the residue of the unease we had barely escaped. My heart was still unsettled from the spy’s capture, and though Adrian stood firm beside me, I could feel his guilt clinging to the silence between us. The spy was bound to a chair in the middle of the living room, the ropes biting into his wrists, his head bowed as if he could hide from what was coming. The shadows from the fire flickered across his face, throwing his expression between defiance and fear, and I felt the same burn of anger in my chest that I always did when danger slithered close to the people I loved. Adrian lingered behind me, his hand brushing mine briefly, the touch subtle but grounding. I knew what it meant. He was telling me he trusted me to lead this, to carve the truth out of the spy’s mouth no matter how much the man tried to resist. I crouched in front of the spy, letting him feel the heat of my presence, forcing his eyes to meet mine. “You

  • HIS BILLIONAIRE'S SECRET {MxM}   CHAPTER 72: WOUNDED HEARTS.

Adrian's POV The night after the confrontation felt like a storm held inside my chest, every breath thick with guilt and anger. I sat on the edge of the bed, my hands pressed hard against my face, the weight of everything that had happened clawing at me until I could barely draw air. We had come so close, too close, and it was because of me. If I had been faster, if I had anticipated Jasper’s cruelty, my godfather would not have been put at risk. The thought of losing him, of watching the people I loved pulled into danger because of me, was a pain worse than any wound I had ever taken. The room was dark except for the faint glow of the city lights bleeding in through the window. Noah’s quiet footsteps came closer, the soft shift of the mattress announcing his presence beside me. I didn’t look at him at first, afraid of what I would see in his eyes. Disappointment, maybe, or worse, pity. “You’re doing it again,” Noah’s voice broke the silence, low and steady, the way it always was
