Alexa felt a familiar scent as she placed her hands on the victim's shoulder.
"Are you okay?" She asked, looking at him curled up and acting so shocked. She felt him looking up and she bit her lips slowly, praying within her that he wasn't hurt, so she could just get out of here immediately. "Alexa?" She heard Liam's familiar voice and she stared at him in shock. It was really him, it was really Liam, her ex husband. She had this gut feeling she would bump into him when she came into the country three days ago, but she didn't expect it would be so soon and definitely not at her gala. "Liam." She muttered slowly and immediately retracted her hand, when she saw him getting up. "Alexa, you...." "I'm so sorry." She muttered as she reached for her purse and removed a card from it, passing it to Liam. "You can contact my assistant at any time to pay for the damages." She said curtly. "Alexa?" Liam muttered as she gave him the card. "If you are not satisfied, you can take it to court. But this was an honest mistake on my part." She said. "Wait, Alexandra." Liam said again but this time around she wasn't replying, she got into her car and turned on the engine, patiently waiting for Liam to get out of the way. And when he didn't move, she blared her horn loudly, swerving the other way and getting out of the compound. Liam sighed as he stared at the rear of her car. It was really Alexandra, his ex wife. She...she looked so different and so pretty. Staring at the card, he sighed again, reading it slowly. Doreen Walkers. Velvet Vixen. His eyes widened in realization. Velvet Vixen? "You can contact my assistant at any time to pay for the damages." He remembered Alexa's words and he blinked again, looking so shocked. Alexandra was the CEO of Velvet Vixen? *~*~*~ Alexandra removed her heels, holding them with her hands as she rushed into her daughter's ward. "Jade!" She gasped, seeing her daughter sit on the bed, her hands bandaged. "Mommy!" Jade cried out as she saw her mother and Alexandra gave her a bear hug. "I'm so sorry." Cassidy muttered. "I should have paid more attention to them." She added. "It isn't fault, Cassy." Alexa replied and turned to look at Jace who stood at a corner with a sulky face. "Jace?" Alexa called. "I'm sorry, mum. I should have looked out for Jade. I didn't know when she sneaked in there and dipped her hands into hot water." He muttered slowly and apologetically. Alexa was about to speak when Jace suddenly interrupted. "No mom, it isn't anyone's fault. I should have listened to aunt Cassy and sit in the shop with Jace instead of sneaking around. I was so foolish, please don't scold Jace." She said and Alexa sighed. "They really look out for one another." Cassidy muttered, with a smile. "So why exactly did you sneak into the room, Jade?" Alexa asked with a frown. "I'm sorry mommy." Jade apologized. "You shouldn't done that." She said and Cassidy placed a hand on shoulder to stop her from talking further. "I'm sorry..." Jade repeated and Alexa raised her brow to hear the end of the words. She knew Jade still had a way to escape the scolding. "...but you should scold me, I'm a sick person." As expected, Jade spoke. Clear eyed and as sneaky and cunning as ever, Jade was the opposite was her brother, who was very calm and only spoke when necessary, that is if he has something really important to say. Jace hardly related with anyone, but with Jade, she was definitely the queen of all characters. "But I didn't make you sick, did I?" Alexa asked. "A sick person is a sick person mommy. If you'll forgive now, I'll also forgive you for not taking us to the gala." Jade retorted and Alexa gasped. "Oh really?" Cassidy laughed. "Yeah, mom. If you had taken us to the gala, this wouldn't have happened." Jace chipped him, making Alexa gasp. Her children had just ganged up against her, again. "Are you blaming me now?" She raised her brows. "I can't say that... consider this as a deal." Jade said. "Deal? It's so unfair considering you also made me miss the show." Alexa retorted. "You missed the show?" Jade, Cassidy and Jace asked at the same time. *~*~*~ Alexa kissed both of her children goodnight and walked out of the room, closing the door gently so they won't wake up again since they were both light sleepers. Jace woke up easily since his brain was sharp and he was relatively calm while Jade usually woke up to catch you in her act she could use to blackmail you. Sounds funny. "So tell me you didn't flop on the party to rush to the hospital?" Cassidy asked as Alexa walked down the half curved stairs. "I did, Cassy. My kid was in danger." She shrugged. "I'm really sorry. I should have placed my eyes on them. I'm also really sorry I couldn't go to the gala, gosh, the salon was so filled today I had to join them and I think seeing the beautiful children through the show glass invited more customers." She laughed as she said the last part. Cassidy was a big time hair stylist with a lot of jobs to do. Customers even had to make reservations since the salon was occupied everyday and asking her to watch the kids was adding more load to her work. But since it was Jade and Jace, her favorite twin, she had no problem and immediately accepted to watch them. Alexandra suddenly felt bad as she heard that Cassidy worked so hard today and yet, she gave her to kids to watch over. "Hey, don't look that way." Cassidy said, noticing her gloominess. "You know, I was just thinking I should have taken them to my mother instead." "Your mother?" Cassy raised a brow. "Yes." "She said she was attending the gala." Cassidy said and Alexa's eyes almost bulged out of her sockets. "Mom attended what?" She asked. Almost immediately, Alexa could hear the beep sound indicating her mom was coming in. "I should never have told her my passcode." She muttered immediately. "Why did you flop the gala?"Cassidy sighed as she walked out of the place, her phone ringing right in her hand. She got to a quiet place before she picked up, her voice cheerful,"Hey." She muttered."You look really enchanting in that green dress, Cassy." His voice came out think, hard and in a murmur.Cassidy's brows furrowed tightly as she turned around, looking for where he might be, "Aren't you in Greece right now?" She asked. He had told her he would be travelling after she'd invited him for Alexandra's wedding. He wasn't supposed to be here today and she knew it. It was all because his father and Stella had decided to move to Greece and leave New York, he had decided to escort them before coming back to reside here. So....Sam was not supposed to be here right now."I'm right behind you, Cassidy Miles." He said and she spun around, her hair brushing past his face. He ended the call, pocketing his hands as he stared at her."Cassy." He muttered. Her eyes brightened in a smile as she pulled herself rather th
"We'd still be going to Disney." Alexa said at 9 pm when Jade and Jace were going upstairs to their rooms to sleep. Jade ran back down the stairs and Liam smiled, knowing she was totally excited. Alexandra had called him in the afternoon and had updated him on all the details. He was the one who suggested the travelling to Disney land and he wanted it to fall on their honeymoon. Well, good news was, Alexa simply agreed."Are you serious, mummy?" Jade asked, hands clasped in curiosity, placed underneath her chin. She stared at Alexa, all the believing faith packed in her eyes, hoping it wasn't just a dream."Yeah, Jade. We are going to Disney next two weeks. Your daddy and I are going to get married again.""Aarghghhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Jade screamed jumping up on her feet with an excited energy. Jace's eyes widened as he stepped down from the stairs and staggered backwards to look at his dad, a small smile on Liam's face."Daddy, is this true? You and mommy are going to get married
Daisy's mom scoffed lightly and smirked as she got into her car, driving off. She wouldn't dare to exchange words with Alexandra not when that could easily jeopardize Daisy's future with her kids. The kids would sort each other out.Alexa smiled softly at Daisy and looked at the kids, "I didn't't believe you guys could stand up like that and defend your friend. It's really beautiful." She said and Jade smiled at her."Why did you come to school after daddy dropped us?" Jace asked immediately."Your daddy forgot to collect your results for the session. It's being shared to the parents today. Jade, let see how well you will perform." Alexa said. She didn't really have to worry about Jace for the time being because he was a smart head but Jade...."Mommy. You know a lot have been happening these past months. I have been really stressed before my exams so don't get too scared when you see my result. Don't get mad either or angry. Just smile and pat me on the head once if I really failed
Jace sighed slowly as he walked into his classroom, his bag at his back as he walked in. The noises in the class stopped a little and he directly walked to his seat without even minding anyone beside him."Jace!!" Jade's voice rang in his ears when he'd barely had his seat and he sighed. She had been talking since they got into the car and even when they got to school, he had had to slip away from her so he would get into his class quickly, but here she was again."Jace?" Her face showed through the door as she peeped in. Her eyes brightened when she saw him and smirk curved her lips upwards."Guess what?" She asked loudly and he tilted his head to get a better look so he wouldn't have to get up from his seat."Daisy just transferred. She's not joining us for the new session.""What? How did you find out about that?""She told Alice this morning and Alice told me. She's actually leaving with her mom right now." Before Jade's words landed completely, she felt the whoosh of air beside
THREE MONTHS LATER"Let's congratulate Alexandra Chapman, the owner of the new Fashion Brand, Nyxoria." The announcer said and Alexandra walked up to the podium, her face a smile as she stood in front of the mic. "Thank you so much." She muttered."I couldn't have done this without you all. My family, I love you all. My friends who have been with me for the past few years, I love you. Liam Jordans, thank you for being right there with me. Jace and Jade, my kids, I'm so glad we all made it through. I won't have made it through without you all." Once at the hospital, they all walked to the doctor's office who ran a fast test on Jace and returned quickly with the results."Is he okay? A fever?" Alexandra was impatient but Liam squeezed her hand giving her comfort for a while, at least, until she heard,"It's more than that." The doctor said and sighed, licking his lips, "I don't know if I should tell you this right now.""Tell us." Liam said quickly, "At least, we have to know to do something quickly.""Jace needs a bone marrow transplant. He has high risk lymphoblastic leukemia." The doctor said and Alexa's hand fell down to her side in shock."Wh-what?" Liam's eyes went wide open."He's just a kid...how...how this is possible?""Sorry to say, but leukemia is usually found in children. We are glad it is a cancer we can fix, so all we need is a donor for the home marrow.""Use me." Liam quickly said."Mr Jordans, you are still healing. Your bones have not healed enough yet." The doctor advised against it."What about me? You
