Arlo was Eghittenn years old now, standing there without a single trace of guilt on his face. His hair was messy, his tie was undone, and his shirt was torn.

Author's POV “Get up, Iru. You’re late, darling,” he mumbled in her ear, making her sink deeper into the bed. She pulled the mattress closer around herself, trying to hide beneath the covers.“Five minutes more. I’m not getting up,” she mumbled.Xavier chuckled softly before kissing her forehead, leaving a trail of gentle kisses along her skin.“You’ve been saying that same line for the past hour,” he said as he pulled her up, completely supporting her weight in his arms.“Iru, open your eyes,” Xavier whispered against her skin. She scrunched her nose and buried her face deeper into his chest, refusing to cooperate. Her fingers lightly gripped his shirt as she mumbled, “It’s all your fault. You never let me sleep.” Iru let out a sleepy groan, her body immediately curling closer to him. “Iru, open your eyes,” Xavier whispered. She scrunched her nose and buried her face deeper into his chest.“No.”“No?” Xavier raised an eyebrow. “So you’re planning to sleep while I carry you around?”

Her curls wave slightly with every shaky breath. She swallowed hard. Her fingers curled tightly into the bedsheet as Arlo continued to stare at her with an intensity that undressed her, moving from her trembling lips to her chest then to her eyes again. Her eyes left no doubt this wasn't the first time he had come here. Her throat felt tight, making it impossible to form a single word.“Lay down.” Arlo’s rough voice broke the silence, she shrank back slightly, her eyes fixed on him.She couldn't bring herself to move, Arlo's expression hardened. He tilted his head slightly, his hazel eyes never leaving hers, his eyes are hardened.“Do it before I do.” His voice was cold, almost emotionless, but the clear warning behind his words made h

It was more like he was saying it just for the sake of it. He was only doing it because he knew his mom was trying hard to scold him.Arlo picked up his bag from the table, then casually grabbed his mom’s hand and walked outside.Iris was stunned, but she didn’t say anything. As soon as they made it outside, she finally exploded.“Arlo, I’m not going to save you from your father this time! You’ve gone too far. How can you hit that boy

  • His Dark Devotion •The Monster Bride•   Worship [142]

Author's POV Iris sat comfortably on the hilltop, watching the sun slowly disappear beneath the clouds. Its warm rays brushed against her skin, making her lean closer to Xavier. Iris asked, glancing at him.Xavier took her hand in his and brought it to his lips, pressing a gentle kiss against her knuckles."It's fine." It had been a week since his injury, and things were slowly getting back to normal. He wrapped an arm around her shoulders and pulled her closer."What is my princess doing?" he murmured, his gaze dropping toward her stomach. He leaned down and gently rested his hand over her growing belly."Your obsession with thinking it's a girl is getting a little too much," Iris teased.Xavier looked up at her, completely serious."What do you mean?""It's a girl."
