The time passed fast. It has been a week.

The man’s hand trembled as he rubbed the emotionless girl’s hand, trying to create some warmth in his eyes, distant and filled with tears. The girl lay on the hospital bed, motionless.

“Xa-vier,” the voice rang in the thick, suffocating silence, breaking the room’s stillness. The boy’s distant eyes quickly moved to the girl’s face.

“Yes, Elean,” he desperately spoke, getting up from the chair.
