I escaped the room with dead feet as I closed the door behind me gently in order to not irk the nerves of that beast anymore.

Looking at the empty corridors with slumped shoulders I walked towards the sitting area of this section and collapsed on the couch as there was a large 70 inch LED in front of me. The cleaned screen of that LED was giving a picture of my entire appearance.

The veil I had covered gently around my curves was now in my hand. The bare waist was on display because of all the wriggling and squirming in his brutal hold my skirt was lowered a little revealing my belly button.

Unconsciously I grabbed my throat as the moment flashbacked in front of my eyes making my eyes teary.

I looked around but I was alone as it seemed like a golden cage. I tilted my head and glanced at that closed door which I assumed was his room in which I was sleeping with authority.

Shaking my head I covered my waist with my skirt before wrapping the veil around me completely. I true hard to overcome my shakiness when resting my head against the headrest I didn't know when I fell into sleep again.

"She is hurt I guess."

"Yup look at her throat its bruised."

"I can't believe he can do this."

"She must be a traitor then."

I didn't know what time was it when I heard unfamiliar voices around me.

I opened my eyes to find two men almost hovering over me that made me scream instantly.

"Hey ssh ssh!" The man closed to me screamed at much louder pitch than me as he almost jumped back a little.

"Shut the f**k up. What are you doing? You f**king scared her." I was wrong there weren't only two men but three as one was sitting on the couch scolding that blue eyed man who just screamed

with me.

"What?" The blue eyed one widened his eyes at the black eyed man who just scolded him. "She f**king scared me." The blue eyed man said sitting across me on the table as he was still close.

I was so scared that my eyes became teary as I hold the comforter around me tightly as my mind clicked for a second because I didn't remember I had the comforter when I fell asleep. But that wasn't the point at that time.

"Are you alright ma'am?" I diverted my attention towards the man standing behind that blue eyed one as I remembered he was Imran, the driver from last night.

He asked looking at me with concern as I just nodded my head slightly looking at the other two people who were gawking at me.

"You know her?" The black eyed man asked Imran as Imran wet his dried lips.

"Who is she? I have never seen any of Farzan's hooker in his compartment. It's his personal space." The blue eyed man glared at me suspiciously as I looked at Imran to clear things for me as I lost my voice for a moment.

"Well she is young knight's..." He was saying when a dominant voice cut him in between.

"She is none of your business because she is a nobody...for you." I didn't look behind as his radiating voice was enough to send electric shock down my spine. I felt my every fibre tensing up when I heard the thudding sound of his shoes which were coming closer to me with my every heartbeat. I fisted the comforter more tightly looking down at my toes.

"So she isn't a hooker?" The black eyed man asked with a smirk on his face as if he was amused by the situation.

"Then a traitor who you punished last night." The black eyed man zeroed his eyes at my throat with a bruise.

I abruptly nod my head in no as Imran said. " No she isn't." He said and both men shook their head as if they were trying to sink in the details.

"Can I take her? She is pretty?" The blue eyed man said instantly eyeing me from head to toe when Imran coughed and my breath got stuck in my throat. I knew he wouldn't say anything that's why I looked at Imran like a deer afraid of it's fate.

"I don't have time for this. There is a meeting with Iranis. I can take your tender if you don't want to come." With his raspy voice he turned around as I still didn't even glance at him.

"F**k! I am coming. My dad would kill me." The blue eyed man almost lunched behind him making me breathe again.

"I think we are going to meet again." The black eyed man tilted his head at me as he also walked behind them.

"I would tell Suzi. You are awake." Imran said as he followed them in a hurry.

A lone tear escaped my eyes as it glided down my cheeks to get absorbed in my locks which weren't in a bun anymore.

His words echoed in my head as he said He didn't have time for this. Fine I am not his wife as he don't considered me one but he shouldn't be giving me to other people like a tissue paper.

God! Help. What should I do?

I was thinking of every possibility with which I could escape from this golden cage but I had no one else to go to. He would come again to my aunt's house to take me.

"Hey. You awake." I was brought back from my thoughts when I heard Suzi's voice. She came and stood beside me with an apologetic look on her face.

I looked at her with my teary eyes as she showed me her helpless look.

"I-I am sorry." I mumbled as I remembered she almost got fired because of me.

"You don't have to. Our young knight can act like a jerk sometimes." She said and I just lowered my heard.

"It's not your fault. I should have asked what to do with you. I didn't know that he married you just as a deal." She grabbed my hand as she tried to comfort me a little as if there was anything to comfort me after everything I was going through but I just shook my head at her.

"Would you come with me to the kitchen." She didn't ask as she stood up making me stand-up with her. "No first let us change your clothes. You must be uncomfortable in that." She said as she thought for a second then asked me to follow her.

"Well we have some Areej madam’s clothes but it won't fit you because she is much taller than you. My clothes would also not fit you because you are skinnier than me so..." She was thinking loudly when I was just simply following her while looking around the house. We had departured his compartment.

"Who is Areej?" I asked her as she was still looking in dilemma.

"Oh...she is sir's fiance." She told me as she abruptly turned around.

"Wait we have Madam's clothes and I guess they would fit almost." She said excitedly as I looked at her with confusion.

"Madam is sir's mother. She died when sir was fifteen. She was the best person in this whole mansion. I was so young as my mother used to serve her. She is very fond of her." She said in her gloomy voice as I shook my head in understanding.

After a few minutes she came back with a yellow and white frock as she made me wore it as I came back to the kitchen after getting freshen up.

My hairs were in a loose braid placed on my left shoulder. The dress fit me as I didn't like tight clothes so I was comfortable that it was a little loose to me.

"Let me help you." I said as soon as I entered the kitchen. She looked at me widened eyes.

"No you can't. First I know you aren't his wife according to him but still you are his wife and second are you seeing another person here. They just eat food of my hands because of my mother otherwise no other person is allowed to make food or they just simply don't eat it." She said she guided me towards the barstool at one side.

I didn't sit on it as I just simply rested my back against it as I was finding courage to ask questions from her.

"Suzi?" I called her.

"Hmm?" She replied as she flipped the egg on the fry pan.

"Who were those two men?" I asked looking at her professional chef skills.

"Who?" She asked raising an eyebrow.

"Those with blue eyes and black eyes." I explained as she thought for a second than smiled brightly.

"Oh you are talking about them. You already met them." She asked as I shook my head.

"They are sir's childhood friends as they also works with him in the office. Well the one with blue eyes is Muzamil and the one with black eyes is Zaroon." She informed as she stirred the egg dough in the purple colored bowl.

Muzamil was the one who wanted to take me with him.

I started grinding the corner of the table cloth in between my nails thinking of him taking me away.

"What happened?" Suzi asked me as I just shook my head. I couldn't make her anxious unless I couldn't get in the depth of Muzamil's intentions. I mean how he could say that. I was his friend's wife.

Like he knew that.

My conscience spoke up making me feel ashamed a little bit about my thoughts.

"Are you sure you don't want my help?" I asked again as she smiled taking a deep breath.

"Fine. You can deliver this tray to Sir's library. He must be done taking shower so he would reach the library in five to ten minutes." She handed me the tray with the fanciest breakfast as it included fresh juice with croissants, breads, bacon, egg and tea.

"Sir?" I mumbled in a curious voice as I just saw her sir going away with his friends.

"Oh he is young knight's father. He simply stays at home." She informed and turned around to do her business.

Taking a deep breath I followed the instructions that Suzi gave about the way of the library. I could easily get lost in the mansion as this mansion had different wings.

The moment I entered the library the door closed behind me with a creaked sound. The rest of the house mostly had gliding glass doors unlike this and I soon found the reason because the library was given the vintage look.

I was awestruck as I had never seen such enticing library. A person could read for few days here as it had that type of comforting aura.

The ceiling was made up of glass letting the sunshine enter the library eradicating the need of light bulbs.

Placing the tray on the vast study table which I assumed belonged to sir, I twirled in my toes as I was so excited to find out about the books. I was curious to find my genre i.e fantasy.

Within a few minutes my shoulders slumped as there were mostly books related to law, politics and philosophy. There was nothing for me as they were all non-fiction.

"Ahh!..." Finally my gaze fell on the book pride and prejudice. It looked like it was very old among one of the first editions seeing the withered pages. Vintage!

I opened the book as the moment I laced my eyes on the first page of the book where it was written Alizey Shah someone's radiating voice echoed in the library as I already knew who it could be.

Fahad Shah!

His father and sir to me.

"You seem quite interested in someone's property."

  • HIS INNOCENT BRIDE   BONUS CHAPTER

BONUS CHAPTERI bit my lip as I glanced myself in the mirror for the tenth time. I was wearing an off white colord long dress with a deep D-shaped neckline showing a little bit of cleavage but it was enough for him. I was giving him a hard time since he had discharged from hospital. He was dying for me as I could see that in his eyes but I couldn’t let him do that because of the stiches he had.Now the stiches had been removed as he was recovering speedily since he had started going to work just after he got discharged. I just couldn’t hold him in the mansion for rest not for more than a week as everyone surprised by that as it was the longest time since he had stood away from work.“Oh My God! Look who is trying to seduce here.” I was startled as Areej entered the room as she could only do that when Farzan wasn’t here. She was also married as I glanced at her from top to bottom when I mused.“I am not the only one who is trying to seduce.” I said as I raised my eyebrow in mischief lo

It was the first time I took one in order to punish him and now I was regretting to my core that even my soul was bleeding. I didn’t know for how much time I was waiting outside in the cold corridor of the hospital because he came in front of me while the gun was hot. Everything happened so suddenly that mind couldn’t comprehend what had happened in just mere seconds that led my Farzan to go in that state.I had cried already like a well that now my eyes were painfully sore with redness in them as I could sense that the way the nurses and doctors passed by gazing at my state. I didn’t care less at that time.In these hours I had gone through every emotion hatred, rage, helplessness and love. I was overwhelmed by these as really for the first time wanted to kill that Bilal Hashmi but he was already dead. Yes, he was dead and he did that to h

  • HIS INNOCENT BRIDE   SEVENTY-SEVEN

AYSHAM’s POV:It felt like everything had ended at that time and the doom was about to come when I was trying to open my eyes despite the throbbing pain in my head. I managed to open my eyes like a slit to come forward with the darkness around me as only the small light coming from the small square shaped window at the corner of the room was coming inside to show me my shimmering dress. I was still in the bridal attire as I didn’t have the energy to change and then leave the place where I received pain and joy both in those recent months.“You are awake?” My breath hitched as I found the source of the voice very near to me. Squinting my eyes at the corner of the room I felt like someone was sitting and it was true when the tall figure rose to his full height and walked towards me revealing a face that I never saw in my entire life.“W-who are y-you?” I asked as I couldn’t even back forwards because I was already against the wall.“I am your husband’s karma. Bilal Chaudry.” He said as

  • HIS INNOCENT BRIDE   SEVENTY-SIX

AUTHOR’S POV:She entered the room shutting the door with a loud thud as her hands were moving fast in order to find something specific that could ruin and save her life at the same time.“Where the f**k I put that?” She threw the blanket away in frustration as in few seconds the ruin became destructed by her frustration as she knew she would clean it again but right now she wasn’t looking at her senses. As if she had to know what happened next? Whether they wanted her more or not? Her work was like that She had to remain alarmed all the time as there were so many eyes and ears around her that could wash away all the efforts, she had been doing for so many years. She was about to crouch down and look for the thing under the bed as she knew she left it here hurriedly knowing no one would come in the room as it was just used by her, when she heard the sound of footsteps so close to her. Her eyes became widened as her heart stopped beating as more steps entered the room which turned her

  • HIS INNOCENT BRIDE   SEVENTY-FIVE

AYSHAM’S POV:It was a storm. It was raining heavily in broad daylight giving the expression of evening in the noon. It wasn’t like a rain you call lovely as it was the one which brings destruction. Shaking my head at my own thoughts I thought about the positive thing and that was my wedding which was happening in a normal and more realistic way.Taking in a shaky breath I went to stand in front of the mirror the final touch of my make-up was done and the make-up artists went away packing their stuff turning me into someone who was mesmerized by seeing herself in the mirror. Yes, I was really looking like a bride. Tears started filling in my eyes as no matter how much a girl negates her wedding deep down, she has a desired to be in a wedding dress. I never wanted a fancy wedding as I just wanted a good spouse but seeing myself right now in the mirror, I was feeling blessed to be here after all the pain I went through. I knew that life is never the same. There would be pain and joy side

  • HIS INNOCENT BRIDE   SEVENTY-FOUR

FARZAN’S POV:“It’s confirmed then.” My deep voice echoed in the conference room as we were right now in our headquarters where we all do our dirty work. My men were listening to me intently as they were as worked up on the wake of these new rivals of us as I was. This time the other side was taking things to the personal level and even in that time I didn’t have to yell at my men because they were ahead in doing anything. Just like I didn’t want any harm to them they also wanted the same thing for me as that’s the best conclusion of earning someone’s honesty. Nowadays it doesn’t love which is need for success it’s just honesty and the degree of loyalty your men show to you and I was blessed with a high degree.“Yes sir. There is a traitor among us.” Imran said as they all agreed to him because many of our things were leaked already that made the enemy so close to us.“What’s the next step?” One of men asked as they were eager to know the plan which made me smirk. I really liked the c
