Chapter 50

Andrew entered the room, trying his best to keep his expression neutral. Jane stilted for a moment while Britney looked sadly at her husband.

"Britney, get ready. We need to go to the party." Andrew said in a monotonous tone. Britney nodded in agreement and stood up. Jane was still sitting on the bed, her head hung low.

Would he suspect something? Britney was surely gonna tell him. How would he react? All of those questions hindered her mind. She didn't want to meet anyone's gaze.

" Jane, will you attend the party?" Andrew decided to directly address her.

" I.. Yes. I'll." Jane replied positively, even though she had no energy left in her body to face Adi.

Andrew thought for a moment before speaking,

" Listen to me. I think you should go home and take a rest. You don't need to go over there."

Andrew tried to sound gentle. The girl looked exhausted. Andrew knew it wouldn't be a very good idea to let her face Adrian for now. They would look after the matter later.
