Sophia's POV.

She stood there, grinning like a pig while holding the underwear up like a trophy.

She looks so familiar, but I don't know where I know her from.

Though I hate to admit it, tears stung the corner of my eyes instantly.

What can I do? Obviously, nothing!

My eyes moved from the lady to the guests who had their jaws on the floor as well; some were giving me pitiful stares.

“Oh my God, I thought Ethan would be faithful to his wife.”

“I actually thought getting married would have changed him.”

“Change him? No matter what happens, a badass would always be one.”

“Poor girl.”

“Oh, c'mon, does she want to pretend she doesn't know she is getting married to everyone's husband?”

The talks and gossip went on, and they just broke my heart. Their words did not hurt me at all, but the situation I found myself in.

“Vanessa, what are you doing here?” Ethan's deep voice vibrated right behind me.

Seriously?

“What is she doing here? Ain't you the one keeping little bitches everywhere? So you've been cheating on my sister?” Lisa growled from the audience.

“Excuse me?” Ethan yelled back at her.

Lisa opened her mouth to talk again, and this time I was so scared. What if she said something that would provoke Ethan into saying I was forced on him or something?

How would the whole world see me? What would they think about me?

I stood there, bouquet in hand, swallowing my tears as I watched the camera flashes while Lisa and Ethan were ready to start a chaotic argument.

“What the hell is going on?” Mr. Charles yelled, his face red in anger.

His glare was so hard that it might bury Ethan underground if it had the power.

“I do not know…” Ethan scoffed silently.

“What do you mean by that? Isn't she your friend?”

“Yes, but she's got some mental illness record. She's always had a fat-ass crush on me. Guess the marriage news shook her so bad,” Ethan said, and I have no evidence to prove it, but I know he is one hundred percent lying!

I spotted Lisa rolling her eyes. I bet she was equally surprised about how someone could cook such a perfect lie without stammering or thinking twice.

The guests all released a sigh of relief while most of them laughed their asses out.

The security walked in while stunned Vanessa was dragged out.

“I am not mad! I'm totally OKAY! He is lying! Ethaaaan! Get your dirty hands off me! Do you know my net worth? I am the daughter of your fucking president's friend!” She kept yelling like a maniac.

Even though I was sad at that moment, I couldn't help but laugh along.

When the drama finally finished, the stares returned to us—Ethan and I.

Tired, I walked back to the rose couch provided for us.

“I'm so sorry about what just happened. The lady is on her way to the asylum as we speak,” the announcer said.

The event went on anyway. I was partially present—my soul was in the dance studio, mourning my dead dream—while my body was here, in the wedding event, ready to break down under any more pressure.

I prayed steadily in my heart that all this would be a bad dream, and I kept hoping I would wake up very soon. But I soon realized that wouldn't be more than a wish, because here I was, sitting at the table, pen in hand. My hand trembled as I proceeded to sign. I looked up, and my eyes met the lawyer's. He gave me a short nod, and with that, I signed the paper—but it wasn't just another paper.

It was my marriage certificate…

I just signed my dreams away—my freedom, my happiness, the fairytale dreams I've always had.

I sat there, and tears rushed out of my eyes uncontrollably.

“Awwwwwn,” goes the guests. They thought they were happy tears.

Lisa quickly rushed beside me. She pulled me into a deep hug, patting my head.

“This is not the end, Sophia. This situation is not as bad as you see it… you can always have the happy life you wanted.”

I continued sobbing like a baby while Ethan signed too.

---

It was finally the time to cut the cake and do the couple's first meal sick tradition.

With a sigh, Ethan held my hand, and we both cut the cake. He immediately wiped his hand off with a napkin as soon as he was done.

My hands were trembling as I raised the fork to his face. He opened his mouth, and I slowly fed him with the slice of cake.

Everyone laughed and cheered while Ethan looked away and raised the napkin to his mouth.

To everyone else, he was clearly wiping the icing off his lips, but I could clearly see him spitting out the cake into the napkin.

Again, that broke my heart.

I turned to him, opening my mouth for my slice, and he scrunched his nose.

What? Do I have a mouth odor?

I literally washed my mouth five times this morning!

My lips parted slowly, and the guests were gushing.

Bam! The cake was slammed into my face instead.

Everyone burst into laughter—taking his hatred for naughty husband behavior.

He patted my head before dragging me with him to our seats.

---

This is the last part of the wedding I will be sharing because I spent my time crying or fussing throughout.

It was dance time, and this time I was already mad. First, Lisa got mad at me for being too soft, and as if that was not enough, I found Ethan kissing a girl in the bathroom.

I bit my lips as we were called to the dance floor.

We were dancing separately at first, but that motherfucking MC asked us to waltz.

Ethan grabbed my waist—his fingernails digging into my skin through the fabric.

He folded my palm in his so tight that my palm turned white.

He started dancing—or just moving around, staring into each other's eyes which held a lot of unspoken words.

Us being in that position reminded me of Jordan. I missed him.

I was a bit carried away when Ethan stepped so hard on my foot.

“Ah!” I yelled in pain. I wouldn't have shouted, but the pain was sudden and unexpected. I went straight to the floor, and at that moment, I decided to let everything out. I sobbed so hard while Ethan pretended to care. The guests were concerned too as I was carried out of the hall to the mini emergency room backstage.

The injury was really bad—his shoe sole really cut deep into my skin. I was bleeding.

Even Ethan looked shocked.

“Why the surprised look? You did it intentionally after all!” I shouted at him.

He opened his mouth, but just then his dad, my parents, and a fuming Lisa walked in.

As expected, the room soon became chaotic.

“I can't continue with today anymore… I need to rest. I'm not doing anything anymore.” I crossed my arms.

“Thank God,” I heard Ethan say, and everyone glared at him.

Thankfully, everyone understood. We both did an impromptu ending speech.

What a wedding! I said as Ethan and I were escorted out.

Finally… it's over!

I can't wait to jump on a bed and have a good, long sleep.

But just when I thought it was all over, Ethan pulled me back as I was walking towards my car.

“Where do you think you are going?” he asked.

“And since when did you start caring about my whereabouts?” I scoffed. My tummy did a backflip, grateful that I didn't stutter.

I guess Lisa's words are working.

“Who told you I give a fuck about you? Are you so stupid that you forgot we are supposed to be together tonight?” he asked, and my blood took a break.

“Wait… are we still really spending the night in the same room? I thought you wanted to talk to your dad.” I stomped my foot on the ground.

“Unfortunately, we have to.” He turned his back and walked into the car.

I am really spending the night with him—IN THE SAME ROOM!

OH GOD, I'M FINISHED.
