Chapter 16: An Almost Full DisclosureThe Backroom, Earl's Diner, Temperance, South Dakota... Layla moved as slowly as ever when her shift at Earl's Diner had finally winded down. She had not been feeling too enthusiastic about her day ever since a strange feeling washed over her and she felt as if she'd been losing something. Her young heart seemed to ache for something she couldn't fathom and try as she might, the sadness only continued to build as the day passed and she settled back into her familiar routine. Phoebe entered the back room confused as to why Layla had seen sop out of sorts as of late. She deduced it had something to do with the previous day and had been quite adamant about hounding her for the answers to the numerous questions she had about what transpired. Layla had been in less of a mood to answer them as she had previously but knew Phoebe wouldn't let up until she told her. "So..." said Phoebe, as of this were a casual conversation, as she walked over to
Chapter 17: A Matter Of ProtocolThe Kandid Bar and Grill, Kanid, Iowa... The revving of engines died down as Brick and the remainder of the Howler M.C. pulled into the parking lot of a bar just on the outskirts of the rather small town known as Kanid. Brick took a few moments to survey the area as he noted the bikes of another nine individuals who had stopped in for a drink. One quick sniff of the air told Brick all he needed to know as the unseemly glow of his eyes indicated that he'd been familiar with the rival bikers who had operated in this territory. Rooster seemed to have fond memories of the place as he smirked when looking at the collection of bikes. Gunner had his attention on the markings and turned his nose up at the stench he perceived to have been coming from them. "Smell like...Badgers," said Brick breaking the silence that had befallen them from the moment of their arrival. "Yep, it's them Badgers alright," replied Rooster. "Mortal scum if ever I smelled one.
Chapter 18: A Rather Disappointing EveningThe Quinn Residence, Backwoods, Temperance, South Dakota... By the time Layla got home, it was on its way to being quite late as she took note of the porchlight and the screen door being propped open. She could tell by the lack of Brutus, the slobbering rottweiler, being in the back and chained to his house, that Jarrett had returned home for the evening. She sighed as she made her way inside dreading having to clean up yet another round of mess that the two of them would leave behind. Still, she'd been much too busy with her thoughts to care very much as she moved quickly through the house and toward her bedroom passing a half-slumbering Jarrett along the way as he lounged in his armchair with Brutus at his feet like before. She took note of the loud volumed television in the background but ignored it as the frequent snoring on the part of her passed-out drunken father seemed to be competing with it in some odd fashion. Layla tossed her
Chapter 19: A Stroll Down Memory LaneThe Kandid Bar, Kanid, Iowa... Brick took a long slow sip of his third beer as he sat at the bar eyeing everyone in the place, his grey gaze fell upon the lovely blonde with deep brown eyes known as Barbra "Barbie" Marshal. While she was the wife of Badger M.C. president and founder Kenneth "Ken" Louis Marshall, she was also a woman with which he had an interesting sexual history. The subject of Ken's debt to a rabid band of loan sharks had been brought up a time or two, but he had known the reason he'd taken on the debt himself and she was staring at him from across the room. Once Barbra found out that men were coming to kill Ken, she reached out to his old war buddy of sorts and the rest was history. Brick came riding into town, killed the debt collectors, and paid those attempting to collect out of his funds. Ken's debt was clear but it would come at a price. Brick, being someone that didn't do something for anything was bribed via Barbie i
Chapter 20: A Howling Good TimeAbandoned Storage Room, Unknown Shack, Kandid, Iowa..... Urgency and need seemed to drive the already curious actions of the semi-drunken Brick Kenneally as he gripped the hips of a rather feisty young woman with long dark hair and fishnet leggings trailed up her surprisingly meaty thighs. He bit at the flesh of her neck as she panted in his rather powerful arms whimpering as he pulled her close and spread her legs wide enough for her lower body to accommodate his massive girth as she moaned out loud despite trying to keep others from knowing what she'd gotten up to when she left the bar. She smelled of strawberry-scented body spray and tasted like fresh spring water as Brick ran his long tongue along her sweat-slick flesh, which also had the bonus of being alcohol-infused. Her legs trembled and barely held her up as Brick scooped her smaller body into his lap, leaning her forward as he helped her out of her skirt and cast it aside. He had already
Chapter 21: Running WildThe Backwoods, Unknown Shack, Kandid, Iowa..... High on the thrill of the full moon beaming down upon the deep woods, The enormous brown werewolf rushed about snapping twigs and sinking its forepaws into the slick, thin-grade, dark brown mud as it began to pick up speed with its lengthy tongue sticking out if it's snout, the black nose that leads the charge slick via saliva and flaring in the wake of the onset of new and clearer scents rushing past it as it moved. The stench of decay, wild deer, garbage piles, and wet mud were all wonderous experiences that flooded his senses as the excitement got the better of the man who had been given to his wild nature. The sensation of the cooling night air swept past the short fur of the brown fiend as he panted and licked at the open air navigating via sound and scent despite having keen eyes fixated on the chosen yet uncharted path before it. The rapid beating of its heart seemed to reach its alert and angled ear
Chapter 22: An Intimate StrangerThe Quinn Residence, Backwoods, Temperance, South Dakota... Tossing and turning amid almost feverish dreams, Layla Quinn found herself unable to get proper rest following her hour-long cold shower as thoughts of the handsome older biker came flooding back despite her attempts to suppress her apparent attraction to him. The kiss replayed for the umpteenth time and she found herself longing for what might have been in the wake of it all coming to an end and his leaving town soon afterward. The revving of engines filled her ears as she was once more back at the diner with an apron on her waist and standing behind the counter awaiting someone to place an order. He came from the shadows, his pristine biker cut draped over his broad shoulders and his heavily muscled arms indicated that he'd been quite strong as he approached her. His grey eyes locked on hers as if she'd been the only one in the room. "W-What can I get you?" she asked rather nervously
Chapter 23: A Favorable WindThe Quinn Residence, Backwoods, Temperance, South Dakota... Jarrett A. Quinn was a vastly peculiar man, and even the residents of Temperance, South Dakota thought him an oddity. His nature was that of a vulgar man with a heated temperament and low beady blue eyes that seemed to stare right through the soul of anyone full enough to look him straight in the eye but never reflected what was inside him when one hoped to look for a soul behind them. He spent the better part of any day he wasn't working, drunk off his arse and sitting in his lazy boy armchair with his trusty rottweiler dog Brutus beside him. Layla had not known much about her mother, but her father had similar dark brown hair and blue eyes that indicated she shared at least that in terms of his features. He moved about the kitchen wearing a sweaty and stained white men's tank top, collectively referred to as a "wife-beater" which was appropriate for the early half of his marriage given his
