Chapter 6: Are you satisfied with this gift, Alexander?

Vivian’s POV:

One hour later.

Stepping into the bridal room, I sat numbly, letting the makeup artist work on me.

“Vivian, I didn’t expect you to still be alive, and I actually dare to show your face here.”

The door swung open, and a mocking voice came from behind. The person I had been waiting for... had arrived.

I opened my eyes and saw Lilian in a pure white dress, dazzling as if she were the bride herself. Her exquisitely made-up face carried a hint of ridicule.

I pretended to be pleased, offering a gentle smile.

“So what? Of course, I couldn’t miss such an important wedding.”

“After all, I’ve waited five years to marry Alexander.”

A sweet light flickered in my eyes, instantly igniting jealousy across Lilian’s face. She stepped closer, her voice twisting with anger.

“So what if you’re getting married, Vivian? No matter what, the one Alex loves is still me.”

“As long as I call him, he’ll always throw you away like a dog.”

I raised a brow at her, letting out a soft laugh.

“So what?”

“No matter what happens, after today, I’ll be Alexander’s lawful wife. And you... for the rest of your life, you’ll only ever be his mistress.”

“Even when you lie in his bed, you still have to sneak around, afraid of being discovered, are nothing more than a rat hiding in the shadows.”

The smug smile on Lilian’s lips instantly froze. She clenched her teeth and snapped, completely losing control.

“Shut up, Vivian! Don’t get cocky too soon, just wait!”

“I’ll make you see just how obsessed Alex is with me!”

Lilian spat bitterly, shooting me a venomous glare before turning on her heel. As for me, I simply watched her leave, the corner of my lips curling up in amusement.

“Then I hope you won’t disappoint me.”

I murmured inwardly, anticipation flickering in my heart.

After the makeup was done, I changed into the wedding gown, which was prepared in the dressing room, exquisite and pure.

As if there had never been pain, never been blood.

Standing before the mirror, I gently smoothed the hem of my dress and took a deep breath. A composed smile, devoid of warmth, appeared on my lips. I gave a slight nod to the staff beside me before slowly stepping out into the grand hotel hall.

Guests filled the venue. The atmosphere was warm and lively with laughter and conversation.

None of them knew that in just a short while, this lavish wedding would turn into a complete joke.

Under the dazzling lights and soft, flowing music, every smile I wore was flawless. I slowly control the wheelchair to get to Alexander parents' side, greeting the guests with them.

Time passed by. 

“Why hasn’t Alexander shown up yet?”

“The ceremony is about to begin.”

Alexander’s father, Mr. Leo Drake, frowned, impatience evident on his face. I, too, feigned concern, offering a gentle reassurance.

“Dad, don’t worry.”

“I’ll go up to the groom’s suite and look for Alex...”

As I turned around, I gave a subtle nod to the staff nearby.

Then, the massive screen in the center of the luxurious banquet hall abruptly changed. No longer displaying the romantic clips of Alexander and me, it switched to a live feed from the camera inside the groom’s suite on the top floor.

On the screen, two naked bodies were tangled together on the bed, as if the world contained only the two of them.

Clothes were scattered everywhere. Soft sounds filled the air, enough for everyone to understand exactly what was happening.

“Alex, stop... you still have a wedding with Vivian...”

Lilian’s voice came, breathless and sweet, as she coyly pushed against Alexander’s shoulder. 

Alexander lowered his head, kissing her fiercely, his movements growing more urgent, drawing out louder sounds from her.

“Don’t sulk, you know it.”

“I’m only marrying Vivian to satisfy our parents.”

“And besides... it’s to take care of the child in that bitch’s belly..."

The entire hall fell into dead silence before erupting instantly.

Like a bomb going off.

“Oh my God, isn’t that Alexander?”

“How could he and his half-sister do something like this? That’s disgusting...”

The video shifted again. This time, it showed Alexander planning to frame me on the wedding day.

“I’ll play a video of Vivian sleeping with multiple men at the wedding.”

“All AI, but realistic enough for everyone to believe she’s nothing but a promiscuous bitch...”

His voice echoed throughout the hall, draining all color from his father’s face.

“Damn it!”

Leo roared before rushing out.

I watched his hurried retreating figure, the corner of my lips curling upward.

“Game over, Alexander. From now on... I’m the one controlling this game.”

“Are you satisfied with this gift?”
