Chapter 17: Friend

Yris walked through the secret path leading from the Bardecks’ home to the Margin Academy’s garden where he always hangs out to calm both his spirit and mind when he felt stressed or felt negative emotions. The flowers and other plants make him feel calm and the silent environment makes his heart be at peace. The fragrant scent of flowers and the grassy scent of the leaves and grasses also make his mind clearer.

There can’t be any more relaxing place in the Margin Academy other than the garden.

Suddenly, a set of footsteps can be heard followed by someone’s voice calling. “Yris?” a voice familiar to Yris called from behind him.

Yris turned and saw who it was. “Arlen.” He muttered. Then, a smile subconsciously appeared on his lips as he looked at this handsome young man with jet-black hair and purple eyes always shining like a gem.
