Chapter Two

Six Years ago

Noah's POV:

"Ah, stop that." A giggling Eva requested me as I tickled away. She was always sensitive to tickles, so over time it became my weapon against her.

"Not until you apologize for mixing blue color with my body wash."

"Okay, please I can't breath." she huffed as I got scared if something would happen to her and stopped.

She stood up from my lap, took a deep breath and said, "Well thought you will look good as Elmo." With that she made a run for the door before I could process and grab her.

I smiled as I saw her running to the stairs while wearing just her pj, deciding not to chase after her as I knew very well she won't go too far, she was too concerned about her appearance to do so.

True to my word she came back in 5 minutes while tiptoeing around to not let me know that she is back. I humored her as I was busy with the research I was doing on a rural place of south Asia.

An hour passed by when I heard sound of footsteps approaching me and I didn’t have to turn around to know that it was Eva and I was sure of that she got bored waiting for me to catch her as she was always the one to soak in attention which I was never afraid to give because who won't when they have something so precious going on.

Her arms wrapped around me, letting me have a feel of her breasts. I guess, she thought it was a better idea to arouse me to forgive her which was clearly working and I was not one to complain. I would take any chance to have her closer to me.

I put her my hand on her and asked, "Into Elmo, huh?"

"Well baby, I will have you in any form, Elmo or not." She whispered in my ear.

Present

Eva's POV:

"Stop that Bull*hit, and just leave. We won't be needing you." I whispered yelled at the man who was displaying a smirk on his handsome face. Did I just think that?

"Well, that was not what I was told. Your company literally begged me to come."

"Guess what? I'm the one in charge, so when I tell you to leave, you get your ass off the chair and just leave." Saying that I threw my hand over the desk.

"Now, now Evie, you don’t need to get worked up and why mix our professional life with our personal. Thought you were much more practical in life than that or are you afraid that your dear husband gonna find out? He doesn’t know right?" He got up to come around my chair and rested his hands on both side of the chair.

"He has nothing to do with that, and you are not that important to know about." My heart clenched as I said that.

"Ah, that stung a little. But as you said, I'm not that important. So it doesn’t matter if I work for you or not, right? I can see that, this is gonna work out well, Evie."

"Stop calling me with that nickname, I'm not your girlfriend anymore."

"That's right, because if you were then you would have been under me by now moaning my name out while s*ck up that sweet nectar of yours leaving you breathless. Tell me, does he make you c*m like I did, know all your sweet spots? Does he know that you wouldn’t be able to control yourself if I just put a kiss right here?" He whispered the last part out as he tapped the skin below my ear.

Oh God, how good it felt.

No no no, I have a husband and everything will be messed up if he came to know about Noah, my married life, my carrier everything.

"I can sue you for sexual harassment for talking to my like that."

"But you won't, will you Evie? Too much of coward for that, aren’t you?" He asked, confidence woozing out of him.

It would have been so satisfying to smack that out of him but he was right, I couldn’t take the risk. But I also couldn’t work with him without being scared to expose everything. I panicked as I felt helpless and he noticed that and put his hand on my shoulder.

"Deep breathe, in and out. Yeah, just like that and relax I'm not going to let your husband know about us. But I'm also not going to leave. So, stop thinking that you can get me out of here and be done with. Also, I don’t think, your husband won't like me leaving after I had a one to one with you. Don't you think so?"

Nothing he said was wrong. Sebastian wouldn’t be happy with me, leaving Michel having an advantage on me. I couldn’t let that happen when I could feel there was something going on between them already. One wrong move on my part, and I will be stepped aside.

"Okay, I believe I was not professional about this which I should have been." I said.

"You should have." He replied.

"We will work together, but promise me you would be nothing but professional too and won't talk to me in the manner you did a moment ago."

"Why? Got you all worked up?"

"Noah-"

"Okay, relax I will try to be as professional as possible.. Or not."
