Jason’s world felt like it collapsed the moment he discovered that the woman he had loved so deeply had only deceived him—and that the son he believed was his, wasn’t really his at all. All of his wealth and properties ended up in the hands of those two manipulators. But what he didn’t expect was that the woman he had once left behind would be the very same person who stayed by his side during his final moments. She never left him and took care of him, even though he hadn’t treated her well in the past. Jason regretted everything he had done to Catheryn. But would his regrets change anything now? "If only I could be given one more chance to change everything I’ve done, I wouldn’t choose to leave Catheryn. I’ll never choose that woman, and I will stay with her—my Catheryn." When he opened his eyes again, he suddenly realized... he had returned to the past. Will he be able to change everything? Or will the same future unfold once more?

I don’t know what to feel anymore because the woman I loved deeply turned out to be a user and a liar.
“Let’s just call it even, Jason. You’re lucky you’re good-looking and rich, or else I wouldn’t have even considered you,” Eunice said.
“W-What did you say?” I responded in disbelief.
“Are you deaf? I said you should be grateful I gave you a chance. The truth is, I was only after your money.” She walked closer with a smirk on her lips. “Because not even once did I love you.”
“You bitch—” But before I could finish my words, I started coughing violently. I tasted a metallic flavor on my tongue—I knew it was blood.
“Don’t be mad, Jason. Your stupidity brought you to this point. Instead of believing the woman you married—who did nothing but love you—you chose me. Well, you both are stupid. One blinded by love, the other a martyr for love. In fairness, you two match well. It’s just a shame because…” Eunice came closer and lifted my chin to face her. “You’re going to die soon. Your time is running out, Jason.”
“You bitch!” I gave her a sharp glare. She just laughed and stepped away.
“You’re really funny. Even if you try to intimidate me with your glare, it won’t do anything! Your wealth and everything you own—well, you left them to me and my son.” She paused, then looked at me with a smirk. “By the way, I’m really surprised that the smartest guy back in college never figured out that the child he adored so much wasn’t even his biological son.”
“What?” I looked at her in disbelief. Clark... isn’t my son?
“It’s obvious, really. He doesn’t even have a single one of your features. Can you believe it? You abandoned your real child and wife for me? You loved me too much—and I thank you for that. Because I lived a luxurious life. Me and my son, while your own daughter and ex-wife, who had no one else, begged in the streets.”
My heart was filled with pain and anger. But I had no one else to blame but myself. I caused this. Everything happening to me is the consequence of my poor decisions.
I should never have left Catheryn.
Catheryn… the woman who loved me even when I treated her poorly. She never failed to show me how much she loved me.
She was the one who helped me get back on my feet when Eunice left me before. Through every success I achieved, she was behind it.
She was there supporting me during the toughest times in the company. She brought light into my dark world when I fell into depression.
But what did I do in return? I traded her for a woman who only cared about money. I couldn’t hold back my tears. I’m such a fool! I left her and our child for Eunice and Clark—who never even truly cared about me.
“I was such a fool to believe your lies! All your sweet words were just lies!”
“It was just survival for me and my son. And you gave it all willingly. Blame yourself, Jason.” She sighed and turned around. “This is the last time we’ll see each other, Jason. Goodbye.”
She walked away while I stared at her back, exiting the room—where my entire world crumbled with everything I just learned.
Clark isn’t even my real son. And I left my real daughter for him. I abandoned the woman who truly loved me for someone who only used me.
“I’m such a fool!” I slammed my fist on the bed in anger. But in the end, since there was nothing more I could do, I just lay down again.
I can’t change the past anymore.
But then the door Eunice exited suddenly opened—and in came the woman who truly loved me.
“Jason,” she called.
“Catheryn…” I didn’t expect to see her again. “W-What are you doing here?”
“I heard you were here, so I came to see you,” she said, walking toward me.
I looked away and wiped my tears. Why is she here? To see how far I’ve fallen because of my mistakes?
“How are you?” she asked. I took a deep breath before facing her.
“You can see what state I’m in. Do you still need to ask?”
“Sorry for being insensitive. I didn’t mean it that way.” She looked down.
I was stunned. Even now, I’m still treating her badly. Honestly, it was just a casual question—yet I took it the wrong way. I closed my eyes. She didn’t need to apologize—she hadn’t done anything wrong.
I was the one who wronged her, yet I was the one acting like the victim. I should be the one asking for her forgiveness. I made so many mistakes, yet I never apologized.
I took a deep breath and looked her in the eye.
“Catheryn, you don’t need to apologize. You didn’t do anything wrong. I did,” I said. She looked at me in surprise.
“Jason…”
“Catheryn… I’m sorry… I’m sorry for everything I did to you.” I saw the shock on her face. She couldn’t believe I apologized. Who would’ve thought I’d only say sorry now, after all I’d done, now that I’m completely broken? “I was such a fool to believe in Eunice’s so-called love. But it was all lies. She never once loved me.”
“But didn’t you have a child with her? How could she not love you?” she asked. I pursed my lips and looked bitterly at the floor.
“She lied to me. The truth is, Clark isn’t my child. She made me take responsibility for a child that wasn’t even mine.” I rubbed my face in frustration. “She made a fool out of me!”
“Jason, calm down.” She held my arm. “You can still change.”
“Catheryn, even if I turn the world upside down, I can’t change what I’ve done. It’s too late for me,” I told her. “I’m dying… Catheryn.”
I never realized how lonely it feels to die alone. Catheryn held my hand. I saw the sadness in her eyes. Does she still love me after all this time? Or does she just pity me?
“Jason… Even after all this time… I don’t know if it’s right to tell you this, but I never stopped loving you.” Tears fell down my cheeks. Why? Why did I leave this woman for Eunice?
“I did have anger… but I still love you. Isn’t that stupid of me?”
“No…” I replied. “But the love you gave was wasted on the wrong person. Someone like me.”
She smiled and placed my hand on her cheek. “But what can I do? I love you. That’s why I came here—I couldn’t forget you. Even if it was just a little happiness you gave me, even if most of it was pain… that small moment of love you showed still mattered more to me.”
I didn’t know what to say. I could only cry.
“Let me take care of you, even if it’s just for a short time. Let me be with you, in the little time you have left.”
And she did exactly that. In the few days we were together, I saw the love I had wasted. I met our daughter, Janice, but she held deep resentment toward me. I couldn’t blame her—I was never a father to her. As each day passed, my body grew weaker. I knew the end was near, especially now that I had them by my side.
I watched Catheryn talk with our daughter. I learned Janice was a doctor—and she was the one in charge of me. Even though she kept telling Catheryn to leave me, she never did. Seeing the two of them beside me gave me a strange peace.
“If only I had a second chance to change everything I’ve done, I’d never leave Catheryn. I’d never choose that woman. I’d stay with her until the end. My Catheryn,” I thought to myself.
My eyes grew heavy, and my body felt like it was floating. I knew my time had come. I just hoped… I had loved and cared for her just as deeply.
Goodbye.
“…son… Jason… Jason!”
I jolted awake as I felt someone shaking me. I looked around and saw Catheryn standing beside me. But she wasn’t the same Catheryn I last saw before I died.
But… did I really die?
Jason’s POVAfter breakfast, Catheryn returned to her group. That’s when Mark finally approached me.“Sir, Miss Eunice came to me. She told me that she wanted to talk to you,” Mark said.“I see,” I replied briefly. He probably didn’t expect that answer from me. Didn’t I already tell him I didn’t want anything to do with Eunice anymore?“Have you forgotten what I told you, Mark?”“That you don’t want to associate yourself with Miss Eunice anymore?” he answered. I saw him let out a deep sigh. “Sir, it’s just that…”“She looks pitiful?” I smirked.Mark nodded. I just shook my head.“My advice to you, don’t believe a single thing Eunice says,” I told him, looking in another direction. “Because whatever she shows you, it’s not real.”“But she loves you, doesn’t she, sir?” he asked.Love? The only thing she loves is the wealth I have.“Me? That woman loves me? If she did, she wouldn’t have left and married someone else. But maybe it’s for the better. Because now… I know who I should stand
Jason’s POV When we got inside the restaurant, I never expected to see one of my business partners. “Jason! There you are!” he greeted. I smiled back at Mr. Colbe. “Good morning. Did you have a good night.” “I had a pleasant evening. Though I already missed my wife, I hope to see her soon. Do you have any recommendations to get some souvenirs?” He asked. “Unfortunately, I’m also wondering where to get some myself.” I saw him sighed and nodded. Then he looked at Catheryn. Maybe thinking who she might be. I held Catheryn’s hand. “Mr. Colbe, it seems that I haven’t introduced you to my wife. This lovely lady here beside me is my wife, Catheryn Harris,” I proudly introduced to him. Shock registered to his face, then confusion. “Did you get married? I didn’t know that,” he said then he looked at Catheryn. “Nice meeting you, young lady.” “It’s a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Harris,” Catheryn said. “We got married two years ago. Apparently, I heard that you went to another country t
Jason’s POVIt seems that I actually met Catheryn‘s friend, but I don’t know who that is. She never told me that she has friends or maybe because I don’t even have any interest in her before. But now I wanted to know about the people who she actually cares about other than me. Well, this is new to me and I hope that they will like me for her.“Are you Catheryn’s husband? The one who always makes her feel unwanted?” She asked furrowed eyebrows.I smiled nervously and nodded.“I am her husband,” I answered.“i see. Let me tell you one thing, I don’t like you even Sabrina doesn’t like you. You hurt our friend more than enough. You’re giving her false hope since you like somebody else,” she said, and crossed her arms.My eyebrows knitted in confusion. “Who told you about that? Did Catheryn tell you?” I asked.“Does it matter if she told us or someone else did?”“Actually, it doesn’t matter. I’m not giv
Jason's POVI took her inside my room and ask Mark to leave so that I can talk to Catheryn alone. I told Mark to get another room for himself.I never felt this nervous before, but I know that I need to tell her the truth. I’m sure I’m sure she will misunderstand me again.“ Look, Catheryn. This might sound like an excuse, but I was in a party last night and I was just going to stay there for a while. Just to make sure I give face to call and Katrina to celebrate their engagement just with friends and I didn’t expect to see Eunice,” I said.“I see. Now she’s back you don’t need me anymore.”Catheryn turned her back and started to walk away, but I held her hand.“Even if she’s bad, she has nothing to do with me. You’re my wife and she’s not.” I held her hand tightly. She turned her head and looked at me.”Really? Are you sure she has nothing to do with you? She’s your first love and I’m just someone,” she said, and tried to pull her hand away.“You’re not just someone, Catheryn. You’r
Jason’s POVThere is shock on her face. She might be thinking that I didn’t purposely told her about this. That I was also going to attend this party because of Eunice. I saw the hurt in her eyes. I felt my heart ache because of it.I turned to Patrick. “Excuse me.”I was about to leave but Patrick held my arm.“Bro, where are you going?” He asked. “Also, your timing is great. Stay with Eunice for a while. You don’t have any partner this evening right?”“It doesn’t matter if I have a partner or not, Patrick. I need to leave,” I said firmly. But it seems that Patrick is really trying to leave Eunice with me. Didn’t I exp
Jason’s POVI woke up a little late, maybe 9AM. I heard my phone bursting because Mike keeps on calling me. I told him to come to my place and tell him what he needs. I was thinking of taking a day off and thought about what I should give to Catheryn when she comes home. Then I saw the maid who only comes in the morning and opened the door for me. I saw Mike with a travel suitcase. My eyebrow raised.“Why do you have a suitcase? Are you taking a vacation?” I asked Mike when he came to me.The maid put a coffee in front of me and I thanked her. She looked shocked for a moment and left after a bow. Is that really a shocking moment? “Mr. Harris, did you forget? You have a party to attend to. To Luminhaven,” Mike said with a confused look.I stiffened. Wait, what? “What do you mean about that?” I asked with furrowed eyebrows. “You have a party to attend at Luminhaven. The annual party that you always go to. This time the party will happen in Luminhaven and the organizer is Mr. Wilson,”
