Chapter 21

After Mario left, she slides down the walls and sobs loudly; heartbreak is something she did not want to face but ended up with another. How can she manage another heartbreak?

She doesn't want to be alone in a dark empty house, to she runs to the only place that comes to her mind.

Why is the god so cruel, can't have some pity on her?

Sometimes, pain takes over your head such that there is no room left for a reason.

That's exactly what happened to her.

She told Mario she didn't want to use him, but he said it didn't matter.

"Who knows, maybe you'll eventually fall in love with me?"

"I wouldn't, I know..."

"It's at least worth a shot. Landon has moved on; maybe you should too..."

So she agreed to think it over. The proposal wasn't romantic; her heart didn't flutter at his words; she didn't feel butterflies in her stomach. But she accepted it to numb the pain that Landon had caused her.
