(Ashely's POV)
After Jay and I embraced each other, we both entered his car, "Where to?" I asked with a grin on my face as I fasten my seatbelt, "Don't worry, I got the perfect place," He said before driving off, "But first, we gotta get something to eat," he said as I made myself comfortable.

That night, Ashely sat in her room debating whether or not she should go check on Jake. It wasn't that she petty him and she surely didn't want to make a fool of herself, but she knew how he felt. The longing for that fatherly love and care, Ashely knew exactly how Jake felt. Ashely stood in front of Jake's bedroom door before taking a deep breath, but as she did so, she smelt smoke and to be precise, cigarette smoke. Ashley’s face turned sour after Jake’s remark causing him to chuckle before swimming back to the deck. “Come on, you’re shaking like a leaf, we should really head home,” he said, pulling himself out the water before helping her out.
