"Good day Miss Belmont." Alyssa greets with a subtle nod as she led me inside the company.

A forced smile filled my lips. "Morning. How is everything going?" I asked.

Her heels dug against the floor as she tried to keep up with my pace. "Nothing much. Surprisingly the board of directors have been extremely quiet."

Thank God. I didn’t want all that company drama to just ruin the whole process. I had a feeling that it would be this way especially since Felix had lost the position again.

But his family, they wouldn’t let this go and I would have so much fun crushing all of them.

Once we got into my office, the door opened, almost like the person had been tailing us from behind.

It was Mr. Harts.

Hmmm, not who I was expecting but fair enough because I still had use for him before the eviction process.

I dropped onto my seat, nesting my elbow at the arm of my chair. "What can I do for you?"

He flinched, unable to take his head up from the shame and embarrassment.
