Dargan's POV
Sensing eyes on her she spun around--- and paled when she saw me. I wondered why…? I looked a lot like Raymond Hellson, my father. We both had the same dark hair and the same azure blue eyes that was unique to our line. But then again, time away had done me a world of good too. I’d become a man while I was away; all bulging muscles now that the grime of my jail time had faded. I was back to my previous form and looking every bit like the alpha wolf I was.
A frightening sight for anyone who was my enemy…!
I grinned, flashing my teeth, and nodded my head in a respectful greeting. It didn’t put her at ease, and it wasn’t meant to do that. I wanted her to know that I’d seen her. That I had my eyes on her and that there was no way she was escaping me.
“Is that her?” Ashley asked and I felt her discreetly looking at my mother. I nodded, without taking my eyes off the Luna of the Azur Pack. She hadn’t mated after my father’
Dargan’s POVThe assembly collectively lost their shit!“How dare you!” Luna Evangeline hissed at me, rising to her feet, and--- yeah, there came the waterworks! I’d seen her turn them on and off like a robot back when they accused me of her mate’s murder. Hell, I still didn’t know who she’d pulled that off. Or how she managed to kill her mate. But my guess was that their wolves had rejected their bond when Dad started cheating on Mom.And he of course found out the truth about her…I couldn’t be sure, but whereas every alpha in attendance seemed to melt at the sight of her tears, I remained unimpressed. I knew they were fake and just her way of controlling them. Alphas tended to be extremely protective of females – mates or not.Perhaps that was why she’d been the perfect culprit in the Elders’ plans. The perfect earned boy for the Blackwood Pack. Nobody would suspect her. Hell, not even my father suspected her…
Dargan’s POV“That’s preposterous!” a second (or third?) alpha interjected and stood, the pissed-off expression on his face made him look even older than he probably was. “A mate could never---!”“Then I demand she be put under an alpha command,” I cut him off, raising my voice to thunder above the outraged crowd, and turned my attention back on my uncle. “To tell the truth about who really murdered my father that day!”My uncle sucked in a breath, and I could see the entire flock of Elders move uneasily. My mother’s fear went from being uneasy to downright terror, as her gaze flickered between me and my uncle. They were starting to panic!Mentally I grinned.Gotcha! This time they couldn’t use the excuse that there was no higher-ranking wolf in attendance. We were literally surrounded by alphas and several of them were more powerful than my mother. The assembly of alphas was of course outraged. Becaus
Dargan's POV“YOU!” she hissed, her fangs elongated, and claws grew out of her otherwise perfectly manicured fingertips.Temper, temper…“Kneel,” I ordered in my alpha voice--- and finally let the full force of my alpha powers loose. The before unruly assembly suddenly became silent as every wolf there suddenly stood gaping at me. My wolf growled low, satisfied with their reaction and growing respect.Because we fucking deserved it!Not only were we the most powerful wolf there, but we’d been through hell to get here! We’d been accused of murder, rape, and whatever unholy crime under the fucking moon and now finally we got to get our revenge. We fucking deserved THIS!“Tell me,” I demanded in my alpha voice, letting her feel the full extent of my wolf’s aura. And suddenly she whimpered, and tears fell from her beautiful gray eyes. And fuck me, but I think t
Dargan's POV“All I saw was them arguing and he hit her,” I told the assembly. “When he turned to walk away, she pulled out a knife and stabbed him in the back. Multiple times.” I shrugged again. “It was silver because when I ran over to pull it out, it burned my hand.”“Why didn’t you say something?” another Luna asked, sympathy lacing her voice.“She was my mother,” I replied quickly before my wolf snapped his teeth at her. He HATED sympathy! “I was just a scared, confused kid. I obviously thought she had a good reason or did it because she was afraid of him. Perhaps I even convinced myself she did it to protect me. I don’t know.” I looked at the woman the enforcers were taking away, keeping her on the sideline until a sentence could be reached.“Obviously, I was wrong.”“I see,” the spokesperson said, nodding his head in understanding. He then took a look at the alphas around him and while nobody said anything, I knew t
Dargan’s POVI wasn’t a smart person in a room in the sense that I didn’t have a high IQ or knew every textbook in school by heart. But I knew how to anticipate my enemies. My life in a fight cage had taught me that. To calculate my opponents' moves and figure out their next step. To read their body language and find their tells. To quickly figure out how their minds worked and see what they were going to do before they even knew. Hell, to date nobody could beat me in chess, because I’d won before my opponent made their first move. The Elders and Blackwood had been no different…I’d studied their patterns. Seen their habits and the way they handled their business. Then it had only been a matter of moving the right kind of pawns in their way, and they panicked. Keeping to their ways, they’d done everything the way I expected them to.First the Blackwood Pack. Then the Elders. And now…They would burn!“
Dargan's POV“Dargan found me when he went looking for his biological mother,” Darian continued his tale. “He realized that the Alpha and Luna of the Azur Pack weren’t his biological parents. But because he knew who his biological father was, he used that connection to track down where I and my mother were being kept.”He threw me a glance and I knew what he was thinking. When we first saw each other. The shock at seeing someone who was my exact replica. To meet my brother for the first time…We’d become an unstoppable team ever since.By using the human police we’d taken down the breeding facilities one by one and taken the created half-breeds under our wing. Of course, with me being in the public human eye – and by extension the Elders – I’d never been more than the brain behind the operation.Darian had been their alpha. The one they all flocked to and the one who took care of them. He was their alpha, brother, a
Dargan's POV“Oh, my goddess,” another Luna gasped, holding her stomach as if she was going to be sick. And I noticed how Gaia’s and Ashley’s hands protectively went to their stomachs too. I reached up and gently squeezed Ashley’s leg, letting her know I was here for her. She rewarded me with a brilliant smile before her attention returned to the field. With Gaia, I laced my fingers with hers, letting her feel that I was here. She snuggled closer seeking my strength and I happily gave it to her…“I have all the evidence here,” Darian continued, gesturing to the tablet-like device in the mediator’s hand. “But you can ask any one of my pack members and they’ll tell you all the same. We wanted to come forward, but then we realized that Blackwood, the biggest werewolf pack in the world was financing everything, we knew we had to tread carefully.” Again, he gestured toward me. “Dargan came up with a plan to expose them and that’s why we’re here today.”
15 years ago…Dragan’s POVI gaped in horror as I watched the knife come down…Again! And again! She stabbed him more times than I cared to count. I watched as she stabbed him in the back over and over again. She wasn’t strong enough to make the cuts deep, but I see it was hurting him – badly! My mother…I didn’t understand what was going on. I didn’t know mates could hurt each other, but--- I’d just seen my father fucking a slut.Deliberately hurting his mate…!And now---I was watching my mother killed my father! He fell flat on his face and my mother finally stopped attacking him. She stumbled a little, dropping the knife in the process. But she quickly regained her composure and did a quick perimeter scan. She didn’t see me and with one hand clutching her chest, she ran toward the packhouse.Without thinking I jumped down from the rock I’d been lying on
Hey! This is MY flashback. It’ll take as long as it takes…Ash’s POV “Morning sunshine,” I snickered, pulling away her curtains to let the summer morning sun in. “It’s another beautiful day in Hell. And your training starts in just a few minutes!”A loud, disgruntled groan had me spinning towards the bed, where a very unhappy Rhea slowly came to terms with her new reality. She rubbed her eyes tiredly, huffing and puffing as if she were the big bad wolf. Her hair was a mess on top of her head, making me remember my dream…
Flashback – but you’ll enjoy this one ;)Ash’s POVIn my dreams, I did reach out for her. My fingers gently caressed her cheek, and she stood on her tiptoes, brushing her lips against mine.Something hot and erotic exploded throughout my body, burning me from the inside out.I wanted her!But before I could take her into my arms, she was sliding down my naked body. Her blush as she realized that she too was naked, had my dick hardening and slowly oozing pre-cum.She licked her lips--- and then leaned forward, slowly lapping at my cock. Each stroke felt like a pull on my balls.Fucking shit!Groaning, I carefully tangled my hand in her hair, trying not to be too forceful. But I needed my cock in her mouth. I needed it so fucking much, I might just explode before---Her soft lips closed around my shaft, the feeling the closest thing to heaven I’d ever been.
Still flashback-ing – Hey! I didn't set the word limit...Ash’s POV“You’ve all settled in?” I asked from the doorway, resting against the frame.“I think I’m good,” she smiled back and walked up to me, taking the linen I handed her. She held it for a second, as if considering her next words carefully.“And you didn’t have to let me stay here,” she said, her tone unusually strong for someone so young. “I’m used to be
Still roaming around in the past...Ash’s POV“I like your alphas,” Rhea said, sounding more relaxed now that she wasn’t a rogue anymore. Hell, even bringing her to the pack house had caused some wolves to pause and take a second look. If I hadn’t been with her, some might even have attacked her.Well, she didn’t need to worry about that anymore...Initiating a werewolf into a pack didn&
Flashback – Memory Lane is long!Ash’s POV“Cut you off?” Dargan asked, while the rest of the people reeled from the information. That a barely adolescent kid had been accused of murder.Talk about keeping a cool head...“Alpha Christian Black was my father’s cousin,” she explained--- making my wolf snarl at hearing the name of the man who betrayed us. “And his only living relative.”“So,” Ashley summarized. “All of Black Wood’s fortune will go to you?”
Flashback--- this might take a while!Ash’s POV“Dargan!” Ashley snapped the second her mate started growling at Rhea. “She’s latent. Relax!”I’d taken the she-wolf to the office when I realized that none of my alphas were at the Main House. Which I had mixed feeling about. I lived upstairs in the pack house since there was no way in hell I would share a home with the alphas. But m
Yep, still here: Flashback Continues…Ash’s POV“Ash?!” she echoed, tilting her head curiously. “How do you go from Flint to Ash?”“Because apparently I look like an 'Ash',” I told her, giving her the same words Dargan had given me. Back then, it hadn’t made any sense to me, but once Dargan finally revealed his “grand plan”, I understood it was to throw off the Elders so they wouldn’t suspect that I was there to get revenge for my daugh
Flashback continues...Ash’s POVHer voice was firm despite the quiver, as if she were somehow used to being in this situation. My wolf didn’t like that fact! Because it meant that someone had been bullying her and forcing her into this position. That some asshole out there was getting away with mistreating his wolves. Was she an Omega?I sniffed the air again, but all I got was wolf. And rogue. So she wasn’t abused in that way. Which had me sighing in relief. She lo
WARNING: This chapter contains thoughts of suicide!Flashback to almost a year ago…Ash’s POVIt was early morning, and catching the scent of a rogue didn’t improve my already moody wolf’s mood. Growling low, I chased it down, stopping just in time when I realized that there was a girl in front of me. Shrieking, she held up her hands protectively, making herself as small as possible.Good start…But my wolf didn’t stop growling until she bared her neck to me, showing me her vulnerable neck.Submission!“I’m not here to hurt anyone,” she cried out, her fear permeating the air. My wolf stepped back once he realized she was terrified, but didn’t let his guard down. We’d been fucked over one too many times by clever rogues who pretended to be something they were not.I had some questions for her, but for some reason, I couldn’t reach her wolf. Growing suspicious,
