Dargan's POV
Sensing eyes on her she spun around--- and paled when she saw me. I wondered why…? I looked a lot like Raymond Hellson, my father. We both had the same dark hair and the same azure blue eyes that was unique to our line. But then again, time away had done me a world of good too. I’d become a man while I was away; all bulging muscles now that the grime of my jail time had faded. I was back to my previous form and looking every bit like the alpha wolf I was.
A frightening sight for anyone who was my enemy…!
I grinned, flashing my teeth, and nodded my head in a respectful greeting. It didn’t put her at ease, and it wasn’t meant to do that. I wanted her to know that I’d seen her. That I had my eyes on her and that there was no way she was escaping me.
“Is that her?” Ashley asked and I felt her discreetly looking at my mother. I nodded, without taking my eyes off the Luna of the Azur Pack. She hadn’t mated after my father’
Ash’s POVI was pacing the hallway until I think there was a permanent mark from my shoes on the floor. I sat down, glaring at the clock on the wall. It ticked like a hammer against my skull, every second felt like an eternity that just never seemed to end.I couldn’t lose her!I couldn’t!Not when I’d finally found her!FUCK!!!I couldn’t sit still!I stood and paced the length of the waiting room outside the operating room once more. My wolf was growling and hissing in my mind
Ash’s POVI was moving before I was thinking. I ripped the door off its hinges and stormed down the hallway. Growing, when I saw the door to Rhea’s room slightly ajar and the stench of blood and gunpowder filling the air, as if trying to choke me.I made a dive for it, storming into the room--- and horror shook my entire being at what I saw.Rhea was on the floor, curled in on herself. One hand covered a massive hole in her stomach, the other one was weakly swaying in the air, covered in blood. My eyes snapped to Thea, standing over her with a gun still in her hand, pointing it at Rhea.NO!With a roar, I jumped at the alpha female, grabbing her
Ash's POV“Is it because you thought I wouldn’t be on your side?”I asked gently, sitting up on the bed and--- just watched her. I wanted to reach for her and pull her into me. Hold her and make sure she didn't bolt. But at the same time, I was afraid to move. Too scared that any sudden movements would make her flee...“No,” she snapped, her voice breaking from the tears she was fighting back. “It’s because I wanted you on my side so badly, I couldn’t live with the thought of you---”Betraying me!She let out a frustrated growl, hitting the dresser, and tried to take a deep
Ash’s POVDumbfounded, I stared at the paper, reading it over and over again--- and screamed at myself not to jump to conclusions! Been there and fucked that up already once, so there was no way in hell I was doing that again. But at the same time, I couldn’t deny the anger that bubbled up inside me, knowing that Rhea had knowingly put the entire pack at risk…And she hadn’t done shit to warn us about it!“Ash?”The question was spoken softly, filled with confusion and apprehension. I hated hearing that tone from her. Hated that she was still scared that I would still leave her. That I wasn’t worth the second chance she’d given me.
Ash’s POVThe door closed behind us--- and I couldn’t stop myself!I grabbed Rhea, pushed her up the wall, and kissed her as if she were the air that I needed. The fuel that kept my heart beating and the only thing that could cool the fire in my veins…MINE!“Ash!”She panted--- before her fingers tangled in my hair, pulling me down for another kiss, her leg hooked around my middle, opening up her sex to align perfectly with my cock.Fuck!I rubbed up against her core, not cari
Ash’s POVAshley and Gaia walked over, and behind them was the Alpha Enforcer, who looked ready to murder. Hell, if it wasn’t for the small child on his arm, there was no doubt in my mind that he would have shifted and killed someone…I had a feeling that was a strategic move by Ashley.Thea whipped her head around--- her lips curled up into a snarl.“Oh, now I see how it is,” she spat, folding her arms over her chest and glaring at Ashley. “The latent wolves are working together.”“Dargan!” Gaia snapped, her voice crystal clear and rung with her authority, as her
