An impressed sound escaped from Seraphine's mouth when Kayden managed to walk couple of steps with her on his back.

Although his legs trembled in the beginning, he managed to stabilise himself, and Seraphine had to applaud at the boy due to his resilience.

"Am I not heavy?" Seraphine questioned, leaning her head against his shoulder.

"No," he answered, "You are as light as a feather."

There was no hint of sarcasm in his voice, and the solemnness made her let out a chuckle. She had a feeling that he was this serious because of his fear of hurting her feelings.

"I owe you one," Seraphine stated, "Why don't we do this? Next time you are tired or injured, I will carry you."

Seraphine noticed that his ears immediately flushed red at her words while he wasted no time in shaking his head.
