The sad news

Seraphine rushed to greet Eugene once he arrived. Earlier today, he went to watch the new play that came out with Sharon and was returning home now.

It's not as if Eugene didn't care about his brothers; Seraphine could see more or less he did. But the problem laid with the fact he was too dense and had a low EQ.

Even if Seraphine could feel he was looking forward to them coming home each time, the twelve year old would merely nod his head at them and then silently leave to his room.

If it wasn't for her close observation, she wouldn't have learned he actually wanted to be close to both his brothers and parents but had no idea about how to make it happen.

Afraid of making the situation more awkward, he simply left. Of course, the rest of the family, although they might have probably noticed, wasn't good at acting affectionate either.
