Lavender:

I returned the gun to Nikon after writing my name on it and left the car. We were back home, and my time of having power was over. I didn’t really feel any different besides the fact that I got to play around with Nikon. I annoyed the heck out of him.

“Lavender!” I stopped when he called for me, and for the first time, his voice was calm and gentle. My name sounded so good coming from his mouth.

“Yes?” I replied, watching him stare at my face before he shook his head.

“Nothing. Go rest well, you don’t get to control me from tomorrow,” he made a joke in the most serious tone as he walked past me.

The minute we entered the manor, we came face-to-face with two anxious brothers pacing around in the living room with their phones pressed tightly against their ears. They only stopped when their eyes fell on us.

“Is she okay? Did everything go smoothly?” Igor was the first one to push past Easton to approach us, asking Nikon directly.

“You shouldn’t have taken her with you,” Easton
