Lavender:

I don't think I’ve ever felt so awkward around someone the way I felt in the water with Nikon. It was also weird, the way he saved me, but then took his time getting me out of the water. The way his eyes lingered on my face, the way he chose his words so teasingly, I felt a strange tingle in my chest.

There was no denying he was a very good-looking man, but he had done messed-up things, so I’m glad nothing else happened.

Still, the possibility of something happening has actually increased in my mind now. He seemed more open to the idea of intimacy, or maybe I was just reading too much into it.

I mean, he had a habit of teasing me, so he was probably just doing it to make me feel lesser about myself later on, when he reminded me I gave in too quickly. So, I didn’t want to ponder too much on it.
