After I told her the truth, I went to my room. And by my room, I meant the one I stayed in before marrying Nikon. But then I heard footsteps rushing after me.

"What are you doing?" Nikon grabbed my arm as I stood in front of the door, trying to unlock it. I had taken the keys from his closet for my old bedroom.

"Nikon, please, just leave me alone," I told him, pulling my arm free.

"No, you will be staying in my room. We have prepared a guest room for her," he said.

I paused for a moment, then nodded. “Oh, right, I had forgotten—we aren’t supposed to tell our family that we married for a contract. Yeah, sure, I'll stay in your room, Mr. Nikon," I replied sarcastically, hissing the words with a smile.

"Your anger is justified, but please, give me a moment to explain myself," he said.

Oh this is heartbreaking…what is truly happening? I hope Nikon truly loves Lavender and there’s no real love for Kenzie anymore. It’s so hard to not know the full truth. I just hope Nikon hasn’t been lying to her. Please tell us he’s true to Lavender.
