Chapter 21

Filled with anger, Jessica collected the file and left the office. She was determined to finish the work by that two hours so he wouldn't have any excuse to query her again.

Getting to her desk, she started sorting out the file while thinking about his behavior in the office. Why would he tell her that she was flirting with the male workers in the office?

The only male worker she had contact with was James at the cafeteria and this morning when he gave her a lift. Was he talking about James? But how is that his business? Has she ever complained about the numerous girlfriends he brings to the office?

Biting back her anger, Jessica delved into her work. She was so engrossed in her job that she didn't realize it was time for lunch. She had already told herself she would finish the document even if she has to miss lunch.

Her phone was ringing incessantly but because she already set it on silent mode, she didn't hear it ring. Some minutes later, someone tapped on her office desk.
