Chapter 41

"MILA! MILA!" his all too familiar voice echoes through the air.

"Luce?!" I try to yell back but stop as my chest pangs painfully.

Eros quickly gets up as Lucien bursts into the room.

"Baby girl?! Oh gods... what happened?!" his eyes widen as he takes me in.

Frowning, I watch as he rushes over to me and gently places his hand on my forehead, instantly warming my cold skin.

Ignoring the pain in my chest, I take my arms out of the layer of blankets and wrap them around Lucien and pull me him closer, absorbing his warmth.
