Chapter 55

Despite the amazing feeling I went to sleep with, I woke up in a much less pleasant mood. My dreams had been full of mind games all surrounding my mother and what I needed to do.

I felt like what I was doing was selfish... but then I remembered that it was HER selfishness that brought us here in the first place... the same selfishness that killed their own flesh and blood all because of his gender.

It just didn't make sense to me... it didn't sit right with me either.

Letting out a small sigh, I quietly removed myself from Lucien's warm embrace and made my way into the bathroom where I had a hot shower before pulling on one of his shirts and sweatpants that I had to roll up around my waist a few times.

Throwing my hair wet hair up in a messy bun, I quietly made my way out of the room, so I didn't wake him.

Hearing some voices down the hall, I decided to follow it and to my surprise there was Damien and Beau standing by a mini bar with a glass in each hand.
