CASPIAN
I watched her go, torn between going after her or not. There was something soft and broken about her, and I had a feeling that she needed help.
Help that my foundation for abused women could offer to her. But I was late for a meeting, so I called Hugo, my assistant. “Find out who that woman is.”
Hugo nodded. “Yes, Boss.”
Hugo followed the woman as I was driven away.
Hugo called later. He couldn't find her. He had searched the entire hospital, but he met one dead end after another.
I put her out of my mind, believing I would probably run into her again. I went into my meeting.
When I was done, I headed to Grandma's house. My thoughts veered to an abominable thing I had done weeks ago. I had molested a woman thinking she was my ex girlfriend, Laura, who had just broken up with me that morning.
Laura had sent me photos of herself on the beach in Italy the very next morning so I knew it couldn't possibly be her.
My friends had drugged me, getting me drunk at the party and when she had stepped into the room, inebriated, I had done the most terrible thing.
I had hired a private investigator to find this woman, but she had remained elusive. As the thought hammered in my head, my driver pulled into grandma’s estate.
She was already having her evening tea. She kissed my cheeks and waved for the housekeeper to serve our dinner.
“Grandma, I'm only dropping by for a few minutes today. I have another meeting before the end of the day.”
She frowned at me. “Nonsense. You'll have dinner with me. I barely get to see your cheeky face otherwise.”
She pulled my cheeks. “Tsk tsk. Come seat. You have lost flesh in your cheeks. I wonder if you even have time for dinner with how hard you work.”
I chuckled, kissing her warm forehead. “I will eat. But not too much.”
She heaped my plate herself and I indulged her, after all she was the only family I had left.
Grandma was the matriarch of the Finnick empire.
She owned half of Infinity Corps, our family company; one I stood at the helm of its affairs. Even when cancer was nearly killing her, she was still beautiful, with pink cheeks and gray hair.
In her youth, she had been a beauty queen. She was the most important person to me and I treated her as such.
“Finish what's on your plate.” She said firmly. “It will help me eat too.”
I caught her hand and held it as we ate. I grazed my fingers over her knuckle, asking the questions I wished I didn't have to. “What did the doctor say?”
She rolled her eyes, pursing her lips. “Doctors will always have bad news, especially at my age. Doctor Campbell says I am very healthy. I will live twenty more years at this rate.”
I nodded. “I believe so too, Grandma, but I will ask Doctor Campbell for his true report if you do not tell me the truth.”
She giggled, smacking my arm softly. “When did you become so diplomatic?”
I laughed with her. “Since you became more tricky.”
She sighed, her eyes glossing over with sadness. “I have five months left at most. He says nothing more can be done, the cancer has spread faster than they expected.”
I clutched her fingers tighter, swallowing the swell of tears clogging my throat. Grandma patted my cheeks softly. “I'm sorry to leave you alone here. Forgive me.”
How could she be dying and still more worried for me than herself? I shook my head at the selfless woman. “Do not say that, you will not die.” I told her firmly.
“Soon, death will come for everyone, Caspian. But tell me, have you found the girl? Have you found Aria?”
Aria Stanton was the daughter of my father's bodyguard Her mother had lost her life protecting my father. We had searched for her Aria, but she was nowhere to be found.
“No. It seems she does not exist.”
Grandma gulped. “I wish I never gave Aria to her father. I vowed I would protect her, but now it seems I will die without fulfilling that vow.”
“Don't say that, Grandma. I will find her.”
Grandma lifted her tablet and handed it to me. “My men found this picture. It's Aria and her mother just before she died.”
The young girl in the picture was smiling up at her mother, who was holding her up. She was holding the necklace her mum had around her neck, proudly.
The woman was calm but there was a look of satisfaction in her eyes like her world was complete.
“Aria is wearing mother's jade necklace” I whispered.
The necklace had been one of mother's signature designs from her last exhibition with father. Mother had never designed jewellery after father's death.
“Yes. Aria's mother liked it and your mother gifted it to her. She wore it only on the most important occasions.” Grandma said, our voices quiet as we remembered the dead.
Grandma clutched my fingers tightly. “You have to find her, Caspian. I have to repay her for her mother's sacrifice before I die.”
By the time I left Grandma's house, my head felt heavy. I had to find three women; the one I hit that morning, the woman I molested, and Aria, to fulfill Grandma's dying wish.
I had people digging for details and clues that'll lead to these women, but nothing substantial had been found yet.
Would they ever be found?
ARIAI paced in front of the mirror, my cheeks flaming and red. I covered my face with my palm and remembered Caspian’s face as he came in my mouth. What the hell had I done? “Mom?” Lark’s voice made me open my eyes. I smiled at my son.“Yes, Lark?” I asked, realizing I had zoned out the third time in the last thirty minutes.“Nylah and I are ready.” He said, laughing when I caught him and tickled him. The kids were ready to leave. We were going to dinner with Reed. He had called to say he would pick up so I didn't have to drive with the kids in the evening.I had sent him my address. “I am ready too.” I said exuberantly though I felt none of it. What had I done? There was no explanation for it, no excuse for it either. I'd touched him and a minute later, I just knew I had to have him in my mouth, so I'd done exactly that. “Mom?” Nylah called.I blinked and looked down to find Lark and Nylah at my sides. I'd zoned out again. “Are you okay, mummy?” Nylah asked.“Yes. Let's go,”
CASPIANHer fingers kept moving over me. They were slow and teasing as they rolled over my crotch. I should've stopped her, but the look in her eyes was defiant and determined, holding me locked in place."Aria," I breathed, tightening my hand around the edge of the desk behind me, knuckles bone-white. "You don’t know what you’re doing."Her eyes lifted and she looked up. "Don’t I?"She smirked, her eyes filled with lust and without words, she lifted her hand to tie her hair up..My cock expanded. "Aria…"She dropped to her knees without another word. The sight alone almost made my knees weak. Aria Stanton the ice queen was kneeling before me.She looked up as she undid my belt, like she wanted me to feel every second of this. And I did. I could feel every damned heartbeat, and every breath. When her lips finally wrapped around me, I nearly lost my mind."Fuck, Aria."Her tongue was warm, wicked, sucking around the tip before taking more of me in. My hand went to her head out of in
ARIACaspian was seated behind his desk with his legs spread when I stepped in.“Mr. Finnick?” I asked, sitting in front of his desk.“Lock the door behind you.” He said without looking up. I froze by the door, feeling tongue-tied and warm all at once. Caspian’s hair was rough and sticking up at some angles like he'd been running his hand through it. The effect made him look much more handsome. His jaw was clenched tight as he looked up at me, narrowing his eyes. “Lock the door, Aria. I'm sure you heard me the first time.” He snapped.I lifted my jaw and glared at him. “I'm sorry, Mr. Finnick but I don't understand why I have to lock the door.” “If you keep calling me, Mr. Finnick, then I'll show you why you should lock the damned door.” He growled, standing. I stood my ground, refusing to be cowed by his attitude. “Analide told me there was a call waiting for me from Mr. Dmitri. I don't see why I have to lock the door to answer that.” “Oh? Is that so? Is that why you hurried her
ARIAThe next day was a spectacular morning. Nylah and Lark were especially good, helping me pick my dress and to make breakfast. When I dropped them off at school, I made sure to kiss each of them and remind them they were the most important things in my life, second to nothing. “I love you, Nylah. I love you Lark.” I kissed them both on the noses. “I love you mom!” They chorused before running into school. When I arrived at work, I saw that Rowan’s bouquet was still in the parking lot. He hadn't left with it. I ignored it and went into my office. Mara was arranging my table. She smiled widely at my entrance and hurried to my side.“I heard what happened, Miss Stanton. You never told us you were married to Mr. Rowan!” She said exuberantly, her eyes twinkling like stars.I grunted, sitting behind my desk. “I never said that because I am not. Mr. Rowan is my ex-husband.” Mara’s eyes widened. She sat down breathlessly. “Oh, but that's even more delicious!” I groaned. “Mara?” “Yes,
ARIA“What the hell are you doing here, Rowan? I'm no longer your wife!” I snapped, wishing he wasn't standing in front of my car so I could just drive off.I wouldn't even hesitate to hit him with the vehicle if it meant I could escape his attention! Rowan laughed off my words. “Such a harsh attitude, wife. Look at everything I got you. You should be grateful.” He stepped forward, trying to hand me the bouquet of flowers.I shrank away from him, my face reddening with embarrassment when I noticed the number of people stopping to stare at Rowan’s act.Rowan stopped, smirking at my reaction. “What? You don't like the flowers? I can get you diamonds instead. I know every woman loves those.” Due to his words, the people around us started whispering. I heard their words and winced uncomfortably.“Isn't that Mr. Rowan Zane?”“So Miss Stanton is married to such a powerful man?”“Why is she working here then? I wouldn't work if my husband was a billionaire!”“Gosh, Rowan. Stop with your v
ARIAMr. Dmitri smirked. “Miss Stanton is the very best of the best. I want her to work personally with me for the duration of our merger.” Caspian stared at him coldly, barely a spark in his eyes. “That's not possible, Mr. Dmitri.”Mr. Dmitri looked down at his watch and stood. “I'm sure we'll come to an agreement soon, but for now, I have another meeting.” He left the meeting, leaving behind a silence that no one rushed to break until Caspian had left the conference room too. Immediately he did, Cher and Denzel hurried up to me, with Mara behind them. Cher took my hand, grinning widely. “I hear Mr. Dmitri always gets what he wants, do you think he'll convince Mr. Finnick?” “No. I'm sure Mr. Finnick will never agree to that.”Denzel clicked his tongue. “How can you be so certain?” I'd read the look on his face when Mr. Dmitri made the suggestion. There was no way on earth that Caspian would agree for me to go work with someone else. But most especially, I didn't want to go. I l
ARIADid I just admit to my boss that I liked it when he kissed me? That I liked his hands on me? My chest was heaving, my breasts heavy as his gray orbs like dark seas rolled over my skin.Everywhere his eyes touched, goosebumps spread over my skin, my clit engorging under his gaze.Caspian pulled his finger from my lips and I moaned in disappointment. “Then kiss me, Aria. Kiss me like you mean it, doll.” “Yes, daddy.” I mewled deep in my throat as I caught his bottom lip and kissed him again. His warm palms dragged my dress to my waist and his fingers thumbed across my clit.I arched my back, pressing myself deeper into his arms, my gasps turning to moans of pressure as he curled his fingers and pushed it against my clit.“You're so wet already, Aria.” His voice rumbled against my skin.“Yes, Daddy.” I caressed his warm skin. He was all muscles, hard core under his flesh. I tugged him closer to me, feeling an explosion of need that I had never felt before. I pressed my back into
CASPIAN“Talia, I've warned you three times so far never to slap my staff, haven't I?” Talia squeezed against the wall like my words were physically striking her. She wiped tears off her face, but they kept dripping down.“I'm sorry, Caspian. I didn't mean to. I was so angry last night, then it happened!” She gasped, sniffling pitifully. Jesus! Talia was confounding. One second, she was looking innocent like she couldn't hurt a fly, and the next second, she was acting like a possessed demon.“Get out of my car, Talia. Just get out. You're already on suspension from work, don't make me send you packing from the house.” She nodded, and hurried out. Last night, she had slapped a maid so hard that she was nearly blinded. The young girl had to be rushed to the hospital and this morning, I had been informed by the housekeeper.“Hugo, keep track of her. If she does one more thing wrong, take her mansion and half her diamonds. I'm sure that will teach her to behave better.” I said to Hugo
ARIARowan stepped beside me and pulled me away from Reed who watched the scene dispassionately.“What the hell are you doing here, Rowan?” I asked him, pulling my arm out of his harsh grip.“How’s Nylah? How's my daughter?” Rowan questioned instead of answering my question.I was thrown off. Since when did Rowan think my children were his? “What do you mean by all this, Rowan? What children are you referring to?” I stepped beside the door so he couldn't barge in. Reed stepped in front of me. “I'm sorry, who are you? Visiting hours are over, you should leave the hospital now.” He said in a commanding tone.Rowan crossed his arm over his chest, his green eyes glinting. “You want me to leave so you can continue speaking to my wife? Never. Bring my children out to me.”Reed turned to me. “Is he the father of your children?” My heart was thundering as I shook my head. “No. He's my sister's fiancé. I have no idea why he's here.” If I agreed that Rowan was my children's father, then he
