After she comes back home, Cassie lies down on her bed for a while. Then she takes a long shower to cool her nerves. At the end of this turmoil, she decides that it's kind of soothing that Mathias is trapped by that woman. It means he didn't choose Emily of his own free will. It sounds selfish to wish that were true, but for the first time in her life, Cassie doesn't feel inadequate next to Emily Raptis. That woman was a fraud and Mathias was her captive, not a passionate lover. Yes, that must be the truth. After getting out of the bathroom, she texts Avra.
