Chapter 39

Alvara’s Point of View

 The museum pulled out a different side of wonder to me. Knowledge floated all around, casting my mood in high spirits. Ozias had every right to adore this place. His eyes would light up every time he showed me something new. This was his sort of fun and I finally understood. He loved order, facts. His life was set within order.

In Half-Moon the closest we had come to a museum was the old, sculpted heads exhibit up at Gustav Park. The park was more of a 4x4 trail than anything else. Kudus, Njalas and even giraffes roamed about the park. As a child, I had loved the place. Alpha Stefan would take me there frequently and I would bombarde him with questions. When we got home, I would tell Angelique and Eugene about everything I had seen. The Luna would then promptly tell me that knowledge was meant for men and keeping house was meant for a woman.

But the museum wasn’t the only thing that had caught me off guar
