As Stephanie handed over a drink to Jon, his phone suddenly rang. "Hey, Viv," Stephanie knew it was a lady who called up, so she whispered on Jon's left ear. "Work is over, it's time to celebrate" he looked at her but continued to speak to Vivian on the other line. "Have you got some news?" he took a few steps as she answered, "I've spoken with some of your security personnel, but they did advise that there are several things to look into," she was about to laugh when she said this, holding her jewelry box which is now empty. "No worries, Viv. I'll make sure this gets handled for you. I am so sorry," Jon was sincerely apologetic, but Vivian smiled with a fierce look in her eyes. "I am worried, if they took my jewelry, it will be fine. Just that they took the necklace you gave me." she touched her neck and the necklace that she is wearing. It was gold, with a heart shaped pendant. Jon gave it to Vivian on her nineteenth birthday, along with a huge teddy bear which he bought in Milan, Italy during a business trip. She didn't wear it in the morning, and she is sure that nobody has seen her wearing it within the hotel premises. Jon was a bit shocked. "The... The necklace?" "Yes," she answered with a smile. "The one you gave me on my nineteenth, you see Jon, I don't know what you may think, but I never wanted to lose it, as I've already lost you," she is becoming dramatic with her tone, but bit her lip and was trying her best not to laugh. "Oh, um. I didn't expect that you still have it. I'll do what I can, I promise." He was trying to assure her that everything will be alright. "Will see you in the morning, Viv. First thing," he hung up, trying to keep her calm. Stephanie was obviously frustrated, handed back his drink as he said, "Thank you." She shrugged it and smiled at him, "Are you free tomorrow night?" she asked. Jon looked at his watch, as it read 2:15 in the morning, he said to her, "I've got a tight schedule this week. The launch was of a great success and we'll have to deal with another event in a few days," he said, looking at the entire place as if looking for something in particular. "Looking for something?" she asked, and continued, "or someone?" He was able to get a glimpse from afar, noticed from the mezzanine a lady and a young man, talking and laughing. "I better go," he finished his drink and placed the glass on the marble top. "see you around, Stephanie. Congratulations!" he greeted her. He didn't give her a chance to say anything, as it was quite obvious with her face, Stephanie is not going to enjoy the night. Jon then walked towards the staircase, and went to where his eyes were fixed. From where he stood, when he gazed at the mezzanine floor, he can clearly see the beautiful smile of the young lady. Her cheeks were as pink as her dress, and her eyes were shining with innocence. "She must be enjoying his company." his eyes then went to see Alex, sitting on the couch across the table. He approached them and sat beside her. "You guys having fun?" he picked up a nacho and ate it. "Lots of it, sir!" Alex replied with excitement. "Why don't you order.." Alex cut him off, "She's allergic to alcohol." They were speaking about Cathy who was smiling at the two the entire time "This is the first time in my life that I've been to a place like this." "Nice to know, Catie" he smiled and gave her a pat on the shoulder.
Hours have passed and the team had a great night. It was already past four in the morning, and the club's administrator has already advised that they will be closing at five. Stephanie and her ladies already have left, heading towards the hotel where they are about to stay for another day. "You okay?" Jon asked Cathy. She nods at him and smiles. "I'll take you home", Alex said to her but Jon interrupted the two. "I shall take you both home" "But sir," Alex knows there is a shuttle service waiting outside to pick them up from the club, and drop them off at the hotel. "We'll take a cab home from the hotel," said Cathy. "We shall be alright." "No, I insist." Jon looked at Alex, who waved goodbye to the two. "See you on the work day, Cathy, Sir." "I'll make sure she gets home safe," Jon said and headed on to his car with Cathy. Alex went on to the bus, along with the other hotel staff who happened to be assigned in the same event. As the sun rises in the city,
In the midst of her thoughts, she felt an arm wrapped around her shoulder. "She's going to be fine." It was Jon, his eyes had turned red with tears which he tried to keep from falling,he stretched his right arm to her right shoulder and held her left hand with his. He almost hugged her, making her feel secure. She lifted her head and looked at him to her left, their eyes met and Jon removed his right hand from her right shoulder, using it to wipe the tears that fell from her eyes. "I do not know sir," she said softly, trying to pull back the tears. Jon replied in an instant, "How many times do I have to tell you to stop calling me sir when we're not at work?" He was trying to make the mood a bit lighter, while keeping his calm. Cathy finally managed to smile, and as she did, a doctor meets them. Jon removed his hands from her, facing the doctor who just came out from the emergency room. Cathy stood up, " How is she?" she asked. "Jennifer had suffered some head injuries, she ha
It was such a mess to be waking up with the front door open. Luke Martin woke up from the sofa in the living area, and he did not notice that he had left the door open when he got in. He walked to the door and closed it, then got back to the sofa. Sitting down, he searched for his mobile phone which he found in the left front pocket of his black leather pants. He quickly got up, walked to the door and closed it. He went back to the sofa and sat, checking his phone for notifications. "She has been trying to reach me for hours," he said as he dialled back the number, a shout came from the other line. "What the hell is going on?" The woman shouted at Luke, and as he felt the sound of her voice he immediately lifted his arm, moving the phone away from his face. After he placed it back, Luke calmly apologized. "I'm sorry Vivian, I was trying to.." she cut him off, "Trying to what, Luke? You shouldn’t have attacked her.. What if you got caught?" He laughed a bit, "but I didn't. And

Jon offered Cathy to stay in the penthouse for her safety, but she insisted on staying in their home. The night was hotter than usual, and she cannot seem to be in the mood for sleep. Apart from the fear of knowing that the security footage has been deleted, the feeling of being guarded by at least ten men, roaming around her property made her feel uneasy. Her mom is still in the hospital, and it may take another three days before she could get home. Jon has provided all the security personnel to make sure they both are safe, and he swore to her that he is going to take care of everything. She recalled him saying, "We are going to find out who did this, and why," he opened the door for her, kissed her cheek and closed the door after she got in. Jon has asked his chauffeur to take Cathy home before heading to the penthouse, leaving ten men to make sure that no harm shall come to her the whole night. As Cathy recalled it, she felt shy, and her cheeks turned red. She looked at the ceil
Cathy had just finished her meal, tidied up the dining table and went to wash the dishes. She was unaware that she was smiling, thinking of how sweet Jon is to her. He made sure she came home safe, came in the next morning to share breakfast with her, even though there had been more than enough people to assure her safety. Her mother is in the hospital, she is in an executive suite because Jon insisted on paying for everything. She tried to refuse the offer at first, but Jon was like a four-year-old who would throw tantrums if he does not get to pay for her mother's hospital bills.Jon's phone rang. It was his dad. "I went to visit you, but you weren't here, neither at work." Jon stood up, walked away and went out to the porch. Jon managed to explain about what had happened and that he needed to help someone report a break in. "It is my responsibility, as an employer, to treat our people like family," he tells his fat
George Keith Albertson, has been a single father for years. To remarry is one idea that he never entertained, because he believed that he has married the perfect woman and that no one else will equate to her. His wife, Allana was one of the most beautiful celebrities in North America when they met. Everything seemed perfect, until they found out that she had developed a brain tumour, which was triggered by a crime in her early teenage years. Keith always told his son that he wants someone like Allana to be the future wife of Jonathan. Jon certainly dated a lot of women, American, European, Asian, none of them passed his father's taste though, except for one. Vivian Desmonde, daughter of jewellery maker and businessman Sergius Desmonde has always been pleasing to him. He wanted Jon to propose to her, he says she is good for both the family's reputation, and the business. Keith was the first who went unhappy when Jon broke up with Vivian. Today was nothing different. He, once again, d
