Vladimir:
“She did deserve it” I told Luka who shook his head as we left the house. I nodded at the men to pick up her lifeless body as we entered the car. The woman got what she deserved. It was her who decided not to cooperate, and regardless of knowing that she was lying, she still continued to lie.
“At least we found the papers we were searching for, or some of them. No wonder Lorenzo kept her here. It would have been impossible to actually suspect that she would have anything in relation with him, his businesses, or who he is here” Luka said as he handed me a file. The rest were being gathered by the men as they searched for anything that could be of use. It turned out that the woman had a room UNDER her living room. It was where she was hiding the documents that we needed.
“Fake her flight. We already have her tone, have her send Lorenzo a call that she was traveling to Italy. We would figure the rest out later. However, for now, it would be best that he believed that she was away rather than dead. These papers, we’ll get copies of them, then things would be returned back here in case he decides to come a ‘visit’ his mistress” I said and Luka nodded. We still had a lot to take care of and judging by what we just gathered, it seemed like Lorenzo was one active man.
He was an enemy that we all didn’t associate with. We rarely associated with Italians anyway, but he was a different circumstance. Lorenzo was a solo man that even his allying families didn’t trust.
“We need to head home. Have the men check if anyone was watching or if any cameras were around the house. I cannot afford a mistake that could end up harming Eliana. We’ll be heading to the Volkov’s place later. There we can see what they would have to say about this” I said and Luka nodded.
I listened to Luka as he gave his orders frowning at the numbers that I saw. The man was making fortunes and to my surprise, was even sending them around to different people. All who had no names or pennames. They could even be women like Beatrice for all we knew. Either way, everything we found could be of us.
“Boss?”
“We need to give these to Viktor. As a cop, he could trace where the transactions were going without causing a stir” Luka frowned as I handed him the file. These couldn’t just be normal auctions that the man was going to, not here, and not even at Russia. Whatever he did at Italy didn’t concern me, but what he did in our two places was something that I couldn’t just simply allow. Him having this much access to our market without being traced was something that I didn’t understand. However, knowing of it now, I knew that his games wouldn’t be lasting for long.
“What the fuck?”
“Yea, exactly, what the fuck?”

“Vladimir” Anastasia said, nodding at the maids to go inside after they’ve closed the door. Luka and I stood in front of her as she crossed her arms over her chest, hugging the jacket that she was wearing “Elijah and Yaroslav have some work to take care of, but they wouldn’t be long…”
“Actually, we came here to see you” I said stopping her. Anastasia frowned in confusion, and I showed her the file, handing it to her “there are a few things that you might need to know”
She raised her hand to stop me, motioning for us to follow her toward her office. It was where she, Sebastian, and Viktor worked when they were taking care of the Verone case. They have struggled to find things on the bastard, and judging by the looks of the place; she was busy doing her own search about Lorenzo.
“Need I ask who did you kill to get a hold of this? I’m sure Lorenzo didn’t just leave it hanging, and I’m a hundred percent sure that he didn’t give it to you to borrow” Anastasia stated putting the file on the table which was in the middle of the room. Luka closed the door behind him. We all knew that this room was sound proof. Elijah had it designed specifically for duties like this. She walked toward the bar which was inside he room, opening a bottle of whiskey, one that Viktor must have brought; I knew that she didn’t drink when she worked.
Pouring us two glasses, she handed one to me and the other to Luka and sat on top of her desk, waiting for us to explain what happened. We told her what happened and what we found inside Beatrice’s house “so, you just simply found the girl and believed that the information that she had were true?”
“No, it wouldn’t have been that simple. Eliana snatched Lorenzo’s phone at the auction. She left it for us to find. When we did, Beatrice was calling” I explained and she nodded.
“How is Eliana, by the way? Any news from her?” Anastasia asked. She, like me, was against Eliana risking her life the way that she was. Even Nikolay tried talking my wife out of this, but my stubborn beauty got her way eventually.
“Lorenzo let her out of whatever den he was keeping her in. I’m not sure how things are going yet, but I know that there’s progress” I said and Anastasia nodded.
“What do you plan on doing with the information you found?” She asked looking at the file.
“Actually, that’s one of the reasons I came here for” Anastasia shook her head, waiting for me to continue. I knew that if I could trust someone to work on this along my side, it would be the Volkov family. The Ivanov family were doing their part of the search for Lorenzo’s son who we knew was somewhere at New York, the Volkov family being here only made things easier when it came to seeing one another “the main reason I came was because I want you to trace the phone where Eliana sent me a message. I’m not sure where she is…”
“That wouldn’t be difficult…”
“I want it to be done without being detected by the system” I said stopping her.
“You tend to forget that doing things legally can slip out of the system” she said reminding me of the fact that she was once a cop “don’t worry, I’ll manage my way and let you know of what I’ve found. What else?”
“I need to make identical copies of these files” I said picking up the file and opening it, showing her the documents that were inside “and I think that you could use a copy of them”
“What do you mean?”
“Whatever businesses have been going on between Lorenzo and whoever he’s dealing with; some of them happened here, at Los Angeles. That isn’t something that you as cops allow, the Romanov, or the Volkov families allowed. Therefore, him doing it away from Mafia Safe Grounds wasn’t allowed, legally or not…”
“Wait, wait, wait, you’re expecting me to put Lorenzo D’Angelo on a wanted list?” Anastasia asked stopping me.
“What better way to stir the cops into moving than this, right?”
Eliana watched as the eldest of her younger siblings left school. She sat on the bench by her side, not knowing that this was her sister. Having met her mother earlier, Eliana was sure to pay for her school and ensure that her university fees were paid. The young girl opened a bag of chips to eat as she waited for the bus to arrive. She looked at Eliana who was sitting by her side, looking at her phone before extending the bag of chips to her “do you want some?” The girl was twelfth grade, she graduated this semester, and Eliana was sure that she would be thrilled when she found out about her life taking a turn that she didn’t expect “thank you” Eliana took a piece of the chips from the bag, before nodding in thanks one last time “are you waiting for your sibling, kid?” “I came to see my sister, she goes to school here” Eliana said looking at the girl “which grade are you?” “Twelfth, I graduate this semester” “Nice, congratulations! Do you have any plans for college? Univers
Vladimir:“Mummy, daddy is opening his eyes” I heard my daughter Ayla whisper. “Shh, baby girl, daddy won’t want too much noise around him” Eliana told our little one. I could already picture Ayla closing her mouth as she looked at me. I opened my eyes to close them again, the light blinding my vision momentarily.“I’m sorry, love, let me dim down the lights” Eliana said gently. She dimmed the lights down and I fought to open my eyes again, and having to fight the urge to close them again, I looked at her, my son and daughter who sat on my bed beside me.“Daddy?” Xavier whispered as low as he could. I smiled and raised my hand to his cheek, gently rubbing it before pulling him to me. Ayla laid on my other side, hugging me. I smiled at their concern seeing as both were careful when it came to my bandaged chest, and seeing Eliana looking down at me, I nodded at her, raising my hand toward her. The kids moved aside a bit, allowing me to pull my wife in for a gentle kiss.“I am proud of
Eliana:I looked at the camera that was inside my and Vladimir’s room, knowing that Lorenzo placed it there to listen in on our conversations, or more specifically, MY conversations. I sat on the edge of the bed, waiting for him to send one of his men for me. I laid back on bed, resting my head over my right arm which I placed under my head. The idea of me being here was starting to annoy me, and knowing that things were getting tied up was another thing that I was happy about. The loose ends that were there was almost done, and adding up the ‘mistress’ part was only to spice things up a bit as to find out whether he really did have other children or not.Flashback:Vladimir and I entered the bedroom late last night after putting Lorenzo to bed.I wrapped my arms around my husband, hugging him tightly as he kissed my neck, knowing exactly what I wanted. He turned me around, my back facing his chest, as he slowly grinded himself over my bum, making me feel his hardening cock. His lip
Vladimir:I wrapped my arm around my beauty as the two of us entered the dining room the next morning. Things have been cleared here and throughout the whole house. Eliana had ordered the maids to clear everything out; the house finally looked like a normal person’s place.Lorenzo was yet to walk out of his bedroom, and though I didn’t expect him to be out of it for another few hours due to his near overdose; I didn’t know what to expect. “Do you think that we should start with breakfast? Have his food be made when he wakes up?” Eliana asked, looking up at me. I knew that she was hungry. The two of us have had our active morning as to both distract and prepare her for what was to come when Lorenzo left his bedroom. The man would be a raging volcano waiting to explode, but he also needed to thread his movements carefully, especially since he believed that we didn’t know about Leonardo being Eliana’s brother.“Let’s give it another few minutes, if he’s not out; we can start” I told my
Eliana:I laid on my husband's chest as he ran his finger over my lower back, assuring me that things were going to be okay. I hoped that they ended up being so, because if not; we were not the only ones who were going to get affected.“Do you really think that things would end up going well?” I asked, raising myself to look at Vladimir who smiled, pulling me to him, kissing my lips. Having stayed up with me throughout most of the night, I was surprised to see that he woke up before me. However, I was also thankful for the fact that he didn’t get out of bed and kept holding me in his arms. “Yes, malyshka. Everything will be fine” Vladimir said gently. My chest ached as I remembered what I did last night. The idea of me so cold heartedly killing my brother broke me, and knowing that I did it because it was the right thing to do didn't make things any better. If anything, it made things worse for me. I laid back down on his chest, wanting to embrace his touch before we left. A few mor
Vladimir:I watched as Eliana walked inside the hotel again. Her eyes seemed drained of life and I had to fight back the urge of running toward her, cradling her in my arms. She walked toward me, her lips quivering as I wrapped my arms around her, hugging her tightly. She laid her head on my chest as I laid mine on the crown of her head. “Can we please leave?” Eliana asked. Her voice above a whisper, clearly not trusting it to speak out loud. I nodded and wrapped an arm around her, guiding her to the door. I could tell that she was barely seeing in front of her. Her eyes looked around everyone around, but she wasn’t really seeing anything or anyone. Her mind elsewhere, and not knowing how it actually went; I didn’t know what he might have told her.I ran my finger over her arm, assuring her, but I knew that nothing I was going to do was going to make a difference. The woman was shattered, inside and out, and I didn’t know how much she was going to handle before she collapsed again.
