CHAPTER -5( Twin Alpha's)

“I’m Milan and this is my stiff, twin brother, Kilan,” Milan introduced himself and his brother.

Kilan glared at his brother before turning to Rizine with a sweet smile, “Ignore him, he doesn't know what he's saying.”

Milan scoffed, “What are you talking about? You clearly showed it when you began interrogating a lady who hasn't fully recovered from what happened to her.”

“Sorry about that,” Kilan apologized nervously.

“It’s okay, really,” she chuckled.

“Why were you there at the bar?” Milan asked.

Kilan snapped his head in his direction, “Now you're the one who's interrogating her,” He muttered triumphantly, making Milan look at him like he had run mad.

“I’m getting to know her, your cyborg,” Milan told him.

Rizine chuckled. Their relationship was truly beautiful and now she wished she had a twin or even a sibling. Someone she could fight with, play with, share all of her sorrows and worries with, but she didn't even know who she really was, talkless of something like that.

“So, why were you working at the bar? It's okay if you don't want to answer. I understand it might be something personal for you. I wouldn't want to impose,” Milan said calmly.

Rizine looked at both of them. She was scared of what would happen if they found out she was working with Asper; if they found out she was also responsible for the disappearance of the Wolfsbane.

She didn't know what to say or if she should say it. Their eyes were on her, including their father's. It felt like he could see through her and it made her really anxious. He looked as if he could tell who she was and just knew everything about her.

“Well,” She started, avoiding their father's gaze, “Like, I said, I'm Rizene and I've been working as a dancer in another town for the past two years. I move around a lot which is why I was at that bar. I have no idea why that rogue tried to kill me though,” she lied to them.

“Oh, that explains it,” Kilan said.

Rizene glanced at the Alpha who still had his eyes fixated on her and she couldn't tell if she convinced him or not, although she highly doubted she did.

Alpha Jared stared at Rizene who was constantly avoiding his eyes. He was certain she was lying about how she had gotten to the bar and also her relationship with the rogue.

If his guesses were correct, she was somehow connected to the rogue that had stolen the Wolfsbane. Perhaps he had decided he didn't need her again and had tried disposing of her, but one thing was for sure; she was mysterious and had secrets. He looked at the mark on her right cheek again. He was going to get to the bottom of who Rizene was, no matter what.

“What towns have you been to?” Alpha Jared asked her, a suspicious look in his eyes.

Rizene chuckled nervously, not knowing what to say or so. She hadn't been out of the rogue camp before and so didn't know any towns. She wasn't even sure of the name of the bar she had gone to perform in.

She held her head and winced, “I’m sorry but my head hurts,” she told them, pretending her head was hurting.

She's definitely lying and is connected to that rogue pack somehow. Alpha Jared confirmed she was lying but he wasn't offended. He understood what her fears were and he didn't want to make it worse, but he had to keep her close and peel off all her layers. He had to find out more about her.

“Are you going to be staying here?” Alpha Jared asked.

Rizine thought about it for a while. She currently didn't have a place to stay and there was a chance she could run into a rogue if she wandered about, but if she stayed with them, she'd get a roof over her head, she'd have food to eat, she'd be well taken care of and protected but then there was a chance she would be discovered by then.

She didn't want the only people who had ever shown her love and care to turn into people who loathed her. “I…” she started, about to refuse but Milan cut in.

“Yeah, she's going to be staying with us for the meantime till someone comes looking for her,” Milan said, making Rizine's eyes almost fall out of their socket.

Alpha Jared nodded, “That’s good then. I'll go get some of the house help to prepare your room for you. Welcome to the Alpha base Rizine—”

Milan cut in, “Alpha base?” he chuckled, “You make it sound like she had subjected herself to a life of suffering.”

Alpha Jared scratched his head in embarrassment, “Pardon me and welcome to the house Rizine. Feel free,” he smiled and left the room, leaving Rizine with the twins.

“What do you mean I'm staying here? ' I'm not,” Rizine told them.

“What do we do now? We have to keep her close till we find out the connection we have with her.” Kilan said to Milan through their mindlink.

“I was hoping we wouldn't have to do this, but we'll have to threaten her.”

“And that's the only way?”

“I don't want it either but if you have a better way, let me hear it.”

“Fine, let's do that.”

Milan turned to Rizine, “You are going to stay with us.”

“What for? There's no reason for me to stay with you,” she pointed out.

“We want a dancer like you, but don't worry. You'll be compensated well,” Kilan told her.

Rizine was taken aback at their request. There was no way she was doing it, “I’m not interested in the offer. Thank you though.”

“You have no choice, Rizine. It's either that or you die,” Milan said and Filan nodded.

Rizine was beyond shocked. It was as if they had become different people, “What are you—”

“Yes or No?”
