Chapter -6 Jared niece

Alpha Jared stepped out of the house and headed to the royal garage to get one of his cars. He couldn't wait any longer. He had to find out who the girl was. He had to know if his gut feeling was right. She had the mark on her right cheek. That was enough reason to have him unnerved, and he was not gonna relax until he finds out if she was really the lost daughter of the True bloodline pack.

Over the years, he'd done nothing but try to find out clues about the missing daughter of the true bloodline pack. Her disappearance had been an impossible feat for her parents back when they were still alive. They looked everywhere and did all they could do. But there was no sign of her. It's like – she never existed.

“Your Majesty,“ The royal chauffeur bowed at him, ready to be at service to him.

But the Alpha snatched the car keys away from him, “Don't worry, Mike. You don't have to come with me. I wanna go alone,“

“But–” Mike, the royal chauffeur, tried protesting. It didn't feel right to let the Alpha drive when that was his job.

“No buts. Just go back inside. And if the boys ask about me, tell them I had to go check on something important,”

He had to go check if –after all these years– he finally found the missing daughter of the true bloodline pack.

”Okay, your Majesty. Please be safe,” The royal chauffeur bowed, and his head remained that way until the Alpha drove out of the garage and into the street.

True bloodline pack was a two-hours ride but Alpha Jared was already impatient. He wanted to get there in a flash. The longer he stays without knowing the truth, the more restless he feels.

He was on his way to go meet Zack, the brother of the late Alpha of the true bloodline pack. Zack was the only remaining relative of the Alpha family, and now the Alpha of the true bloodline pack.

Back when the little girl went missing, Zack had tried to find the girl. His concern for the girl was evident, so it's only right he lets him know that his little niece might still be alive and was back home with his boys.

After two hours, he was finally riding on the tarred streets of the true bloodline pack. He headed to the mansion where the Alpha family lives.

He alighted from his car and threw his keys at the royal valet. The lanky boy who was the royal valet of the True bloodline pack nodded his head and went ahead to pack the car where it should be.

Alpha Jared stepped into the house and was getting bows from the servants. Of course, they knew who he was. He's been here a few times and had quite an acquaintance with Zack. Other than that, his boys were quite famous in the werewolf kingdom. Everyone knew them for their good looks and incredible fighting skills. So as their father, he shared in their fame.

A female Omega led him to a waiting room and gestured at him to sit on the couch.

“Our Alpha will join you shortly,“ She mumbled politely, with her head bowed.

Alpha Jared had his eyes sweep up her tattered attire to her chapped face before nodding, “Alright, thank you,“

She nodded and scurried away, leaving Alpha Jared to the soothing quietness of the room.

Soon, Zack walked in, dressed in a white, Alpha robe. He had a courtesy smile on his face, and it reflected on Alpha Jared's face too.

“Jared,“ Zack greeted, shaking his hands firmly, “Good to see you,“

“Good to see you, too. Zack,“ Alpha Jared said, “Hope I didn't interrupt anything important?“

“No, not all. What brings you here?“

Alpha Jared adjusted on his seat, bringing his voice low to avoid being in anyone's earshot. He wanted the matter to be as discreet as ever until his gut feeling was proven to be true.

“Are you still in search of your long-lost little niece?“ Alpha Jared asked.

“Sure, I am. We still need her. Even though it's been a long time, I still hope I get to find her and bring her home,“ Zack replied, and then he looked at Jared conspicuously and added, ”Why are you asking me that?“

“I might be wrong, but I think I just found your long-lost niece,“ Alpha Jared declared, “I met this girl and she had a mark on her right cheek. It was very similar to the one on your niece. Perhaps, you should come see it for yourself, then –”

“I'm afraid it's just a striking coincidence, Jared,“ Zack cut him off with a stern tone, ”As much as I wanna hold onto a little hope that my niece is still alive, I still need to embrace the reality that she's dead and gone,“

“But Zack, coincidences like this are rare. It was her, I'm sure. She had the crescent moon–”

”If my long lost niece was alive, shouldn't I be the first to learn about it?“ Zack interrupted and stood to his feet. “I'm sorry you came all the way here for nothing. I hope you have a safe trip back home,“ Zack dismissed him and headed inside.

Alpha Jared was short of words but had to leave. Maybe next time, he'll return with the girl. Maybe only then will Zack believe him.

Zack went back into his study and Asper was still seated on the leather chair, with his legs crossed on the table.

“What did Jared want?“ Asper asked.

“I think he found Rizine,“ Zack said, pissed off and restless, “You got me the wolfsbane, now you have to kill Jared. I'll be doomed if he reveals to the whole world that my Godforsaken niece is still alive,“

“Sure,“ Asper replied with a sinister smile. He gestured at his right-hand man, Jason, who was also in the room. “Don't let Jared return to his pack,”

“Yes, Alpha,“ Jason nodded and headed out, clearly understanding just what he had to do.
