Please Leave Me

Alex's POV

I asked Max to call the doctor to my home. I went towards my car, made Sana lie down in the back seat, and took her hand in my lap.

She was injured so badly. There were blue marks all over her body from that bastard's beatings. There were bite marks on her neck and chest, and he had scratched her body like some hungry animal.

Even animals were not as merciless as him.

A tear rolled down my cheek. My wolf was also growling in pain, seeing his mate lying in such a condition.

"I never thought that I would meet you again in such a condition," I muttered and removed her hair from her face.

"We will not leave that bastard. He will cry tears of blood," my wolf said in my mind.

I nodded, agreeing with him. That asshole, Andrew, would suffer hell while living.

I wiped my tears and kissed her forehead.

"It's all my fault. I shouldn't have left you alone, Sana."

"I told you, but you didn't listen to me and went to war. She needed you, and what did you do? You left her with that fellow doctor," Dominic scoffed.

"I'm sorry... I couldn't leave my men alone like that, and I had to kill Richard with my own hands. But I never thought that the result of leaving Sana alone would be this."

"Now, there is no use thinking about all this. Just pray to the Moon Goddess that she gets better soon because I can't see her like this," Dominic replied.

"Neither can I."

I pulled Sana close to my chest, near my heart.

Now, no matter what happens, I will not leave you alone. Even if you want me to, I am not going to get away from you. Now that I know you're my mate, there is no chance I will leave you. The fact that you were Richard's wife doesn't matter to me... Now you're mine... only mine, I thought, running my hand through her hair.

Soon, we reached home. I picked her up and took her to my room.

Everyone was looking at me in shock. Well, why wouldn't they? After all, I never brought any girl to my home, and here I was, carrying a girl in my arms and taking her to my room.

The lady doctor was already there.

I laid Sana down on the bed and looked towards the doctor.

"Her condition is not good. I wonder if she will even be able to survive," she said.

"Doctor!" I roared.

She shivered in fear and took a step back.

"Nothing should happen to my Sana. If something happens to her, then you will never be able to treat anyone again."

She looked at me with fearful eyes. I knew I shouldn't talk to any lady like this, but how dare she say something like that about her?

"Make sure she gets well. Understand?"

"Y-yes," she stammered and went near Sana.

She turned her face towards me.

"Can you please go and wait outside?" she asked hesitantly.

I didn't reply. I went outside and closed the door behind me, but I stood outside the room and started waiting for the doctor to come out and tell me that Sana was absolutely fine. Somewhere in my heart, though, I knew she wasn't okay.

After an hour, the doctor came outside. She looked at me, and from her expression, I could tell that she was afraid to tell me the truth.

I went inside to look at my Sano. She was lying on the bed, unconscious. There were bandages all over her body, cream had been applied to her face, and there were stitches on her forehead.

The lady doctor came to me.

"She's out of danger," she muttered.

I took a breath that I didn't know I'd been holding.

"but she's not completely okay," she continued.

"Yeah, I know. But all her injuries will heal soon. As soon as the effects of wolfsbane wear off, her wolf will heal her."

"Actually, sir..."

I looked towards the doctor. She hesitated a little before speaking further, but then I indicated for her to continue.

"The man who kidnapped her was continuously injecting wolfsbane into her veins for one month."

"What? One month?" I was appalled.

"Yes, and because of that, her wolf went into a deep slumber. I don't know when she will show her presence again," she mumbled.

"Wolfsbane has been given to her for one month? Wolfsbane causes a wolf to fall into a deep sleep, and not only that, it's like a poison that slowly kills the wolf. It's extremely painful for a wolf, and it was given to her continuously for one month... It must have been so painful for her."

I felt an ache in my heart.

"Not only that, Alpha, but she was also brutally beaten. She has serious injuries to her feet, and she also has internal injuries because of which she might not be able to walk for some days. She has many bruises on her body, and you can see that her face is not in good condition either," she completed.

I looked at Sano.

"When will she get better?" I asked.

"I don't know when her wolf will show her presence again, but for now, she's just like a normal human. It will take time for her to recover physically, at least one month. As for her mental condition, I don't know. She must be deeply traumatised. Make sure she gets proper rest."

I nodded.

"Sir, please don't leave her alone. He is a beast. He tortured her so badly. My soul trembled after seeing her. I don't know how she has endured all this until now. Don't leave her alone because I'm sure she must have suffered from depression or might even experience panic attacks, as people often do in such conditions," the lady doctor mumbled, wiping her tears.

I didn't say anything, and she left.

I sat beside Sana and tucked a strand of hair behind her ear.

Her face had become pale. There was a cut on her right cheek, scratches on her left cheek, cuts on her lips, and a minor injury on her forehead.

A tear rolled down my cheek as I looked at her miserable condition.

I was used to hanging out with many girls, but only to fulfil my needs. I had never felt anything for any of them. They were all just one-night stands, but when I saw this girl for the first time, I fell for her.

I still remembered that day when I attacked her pack. I was about to kill someone when she accidentally came between me and my enemy.

Her beautiful eyes, filled with fear, met mine. She looked at me with widened eyes and soon closed them because of fear.

Seeing her beautiful lips trembling made me want to kiss her deeply and passionately. Her fluffy cheeks made me want to pinch them. She looked breathtaking with her light makeup.

Her mesmerising beauty made me so lost in her that I even forgot I was in the middle of a battle. That was when my enemy attacked my shoulder.

"Aah!" I hissed in pain.

She opened her eyes, but before she could say or do anything, somebody grabbed her hand and dragged her away. I came back to my senses.

There was a huge difference between how she looked that day and how she looked today.

Her whole face had become pale. There was a cut on her beautiful pink lips, and her eyes were swollen.

I would not leave Andrew. Dominic also whimpered, looking at her condition.

"Maya," he whispered in my mind.

"Maya?" I asked.

"Her wolf's name is Maya. When I first saw her, I felt our mate bond, but she was pregnant with Richard's child, so I didn't tell you. I wanted to confirm whether we were mates and, if so, how she had ended up marrying Richard, or whether she was our second-chance mate. But before I could confirm anything, she went away from there. Then we saw her in labour, and after that, everything became a mess. We were busy with the war, and when we went back to the doctor, she told us that Sana had run away from there. Now, when we're meeting her again, her wolf is not with her," he muttered.

I nodded, brought over the stool, and sat beside her bed, waiting for her to regain consciousness.

Sana's POV

"Please leave me... Let me go... No!" I screamed and opened my eyes.

I was sweating badly. I realised it was a nightmare and was still breathing heavily.

Then someone held a glass of water towards me. I looked to the side and saw none other than my saviour.

He indicated for me to drink the water. I took the glass from his hand and drank. Tears filled my eyes.

He extended his hand to wipe my tears, but because of fear, I moved back a little on the bed. I was terrified and shivering because of the nightmare about the horrible month I'd just experienced.

He maintained some distance from me.

"Don't worry. You're safe now. Since it's nighttime, you should sleep again. The doctor said it will take time for you to recover and that you need rest, so sleep well," he muttered and left the room.

I looked around. That's when I realised that he was the one who had saved my life again. He had brought me out of that hell.

"Maya," I called out to my wolf, but she didn't respond.

Maybe the wolfsbane was still affecting me.

My eyes went to the framed photo of my saviour hanging on the wall. I was looking at it when I realised something. I scanned the whole room again.

It was his room. Why did he bring me to his room? I thought, starting to panic.

So much had happened to me in the past month that I couldn't trust anyone anymore.

What if he is the same as that moron? What if he also wants to use me?

I felt goosebumps all over my body as I worried about his intentions.

What if he saved me just to use me?

"No... I will not let anyone hurt me again. I will not let him touch me," I thought and got out of bed, but I fell.

That's when I felt immense pain throughout my body.

I remembered how brutally Andrew had beaten me, especially when I tried to fight back.

I looked around, wanting to ask someone for help, but there was no one in the room.

I stood up, keeping my hand on the bed, but suddenly, I started feeling dizzy, and my legs stumbled.

Before I could fall to the ground again, someone held me by the waist.

I opened my eyes and looked at that person.

It was none other than my saviour.

"Oh, God... Sano!" He picked me up in his arms and made me lie on the bed.

"Doctor!" I heard him yell, and that's when a lady entered.

I held his hand because of the immense pain, and a tear rolled down my cheek.

"Please check her. She's in immense pain. I can feel it. Maybe it's because of her injuries. Please do something," he muttered.

"Okay... please go outside and wait."

He was about to leave, but I was holding his hand.

He gently freed his hand from mine, wiped my tears, and kissed my temple.

"Don't worry... This pain will end soon, and I am standing outside the room. There's no need to be afraid," he said and left the room.

"Let me give you an injection. You will feel better," the lady mumbled and came towards me.

She injected something into my veins and removed my trousers to examine my injuries.

She treated me while I remained aware of what she was doing. Soon, my pain eased, and I drifted off to sleep.
