Ch 22

Max's POV

My head... My head felt so heavy like I was carrying a block of lead on it. There was not a single light in sight so I couldn't see anything but pitch darkness.

'Everywhere isn't dark stupid, your eyes are closed! How are you supposed to see anything like that?', my mind taunted and I immediately tried to open my eyes but I just couldn't.

I was so exhausted... I couldn't move my eyelids or even a single limb. I tried to tap into my wolf's strength but at the moment, I was unable to feel my wolf. I immediately panicked at the realization and tried to move once again but still couldn't lift my bones.

I would have been satisfied if I had only managed to open my eyes but there were no results despite my numerous attempts to pry apart my eyelids. After multiple trials, I finally decided to give up and just rest.

My consciousness was already slipping away when I heard my mother's voice.

'How long is he going to be like this?', she was crying.
