CHAPTER THIRTY

*We never had a thing going on*

A sob crammed her chest as her eyes remained shut, still hoping the stranger was Finn.

The clouds slowly unveiled the moon. the moonlight glowed in the night sky casting a silver gleam. Her eyes adjusted to the stables a little clearer. It was a large one and the horses were tethered sprawled on the floor in their respective place.

His grip on her mouth slowly loosened up as he moved back inches away from her back to face her. She lurched away as she snapped her head in time to see who the stranger was. Her breathing was still ragged in panic.

His silhouette was athletic and dominating as he towered over her. Despite the evening darkness, she could still make out the glint in his eyes beguiling her toward him.

He ran his big hands through his tousled hair and chuckled.
