Zoe laid back against her pillow trying to calm down. She sighed heavily with a loud puff mixed with a growl. ”Don't get mad,” Alex said. ”Too late!” she replied. ”My friends aren't as bad as you may think right now. Just, a lot of shit has happened between them and the dumbhead team of the basketball groups. Your boyfriend is excluded since we both resumed this year.” Alex said. Alex wasn't turning to look at them because his back was still turned back. Zoe blushed and slid off from Luke's lap, ”I'm gonna get going, and thank you for letting me join your movie night.” Alex said and Walked to the door. ”Wait, you don't have to go yet.” she said half-heartedly. The week went by quickly, Luke and Zoe do talk on the phone and sometimes even do video calls. Dad had called her mum and to wish them a happy celebration in advance, Zoe had called Alex almost every day to make sure he hadn't changed his mind about coming over for dinner, and football.
