Special Chapter 8

Zandy's POV

I did not say a word when mom said she was going to invite Miles over for dinner. We're not okay and we'll always argue if they always bring us together but because they want that, there's nothing I can do.

Mom prepared food and said she was going to pick Miles up from where she worked while I wasn't showing interest.

A few moments later, mom came with Miles who was looking around and I could see the amazement in her eyes at what she was seeing. I didn't say a word to welcome her and I just looked at her for a moment while mom's face showed joy.

"Finally you're here, Miles welcome to our home," dad greeted Miles warmly. "I'm glad you're here."

Miles smiled. "Thank you, Uncle, for inviting me here."

Mom guided Miles to the seat next to me. I didn't say a word and left her there. I can feel her loss.
