Chapter 6

6. WHO IS MARK ROBINSON? 

“What the hell was this scoundrel doing in our house?” Nancy screamed at Kevin and Freya as soon as Mark left from there and they closed the door.

She was so afraid of him when last week she met him for the first time with a gun at John’s café, totally like a gangster with a dark appearance and some sidekicks who were almost ready chop her friends’ heads to get information about Michael. But after meeting him again and seeing a completely different side of his she kind of started to hate him, because out nowhere he intrudes in her life then offered a high pay job to her brother and became the most favourite person to her sister in law Freya in just few hours. In short, she hates him for being someone more important than her to her family.

They turned around when they heard her, “Watch your language girl!” scold Freya.

But that did not affect her and she flinch her nose before spitting out her first and bitter encounter with him, “What language Freya, last weekend this guy was at John’s café holding a gun on his head and you’re asking me to mind my language”

Both of their expressions scream shocked as they heard something unreal about a person whom they known as the most sober and decent for a long time. Though whatever Nancy said it made Kevin worried but Freya refused to believe with a determination that Mark is innocent, “A gun?” She asked raising her eyebrows.

“Yes, a gun and a bunch of sidekicks who took some innocent people hostage for their self-interest” Nancy replied instantly in just one breath giving them all the important details that can prove her point that Mark Robinson is definitely a gangster and they should also know the facts which she has discovered about his character that he is not at all a good person to be with.

“What was he doing at John’s café?” Kevin whisper absentmindedly looking at his wife who was already looking at him.

“Looking for some Michael Richards” Nancy replied.

And as soon as she mentioned Michael’s name Kevin and Freya broke their eye contact and turned toward her in a snap with horror filling in their eyes, though it disappoints Nancy when she didn’t get the anticipated reaction from her family as she’s 100% sure that she assassinated Mark’s character well to open their eyes but for her shock she got the reaction for someone else.
