Once the fighting started, it felt like time slowed down all together. The fighting seemed to go on forever. I lost track of where Dominic was. I searched the screens hoping to find him. I had to know he was ok. But it was like he had disappeared altogether. And then I saw him being carried out of the trees. He was thrown over Landon's shoulder like a sack of potatoes. In front of him was Blake caring another still body. This one was not being carried so nicely and looked like his throat had been ripped out. The fighting stopped. All eyes were on them. Blake threw the body he had been carrying onto the ground. Every member of The Demon Shadows fell to the ground submissively. "Those of you that wish to continue to follow Cain may stay and meet the same fate as your Alpha. The rest of you better pray to the moon goddess. I never see your faces again."

As Blake spoke, Landon moved around him and headed for the house. Angel and I moved together as we headed for the door. I wanted to
