Forbidden Desire

“Who was it?” I asked as I gently massaged the back of his head. I don't know from where I got this confidence to enquire him but for some reason I was convinced that he will tell me.

“My uncle,” his voice was a hoarse rumble. There was no emotion in his voice only exhaustion. My fingers froze as I processed what he just said. His uncle? His family. He killed his own kin.

He was quick to sense the change in my behavior and raised his face to look at me. My expression must have clued him in as he promptly held my face in his large hands and stared meaningfully in my eyes.
