Punishment Time

I won't lie, his cool and placid countenance was giving me anxiety. Ron left right then, leaving me alone with these two.

Zavion rose to his feet and buttoned up his suit.

"Let me," Esme sprung off her chair and reached for the lapel of his jacket. Zavion smiled down at her and let her fix his jacket for him. It appeared as though they were having a moment and I was intruding. Esme looked up at him expecting a kiss from him as a reward but Zavion stepped away.

Without sparing me a single glance, he walked past me towards the exit. Esme followed him out and I quietly fell in line after them. My steps were reluctant and heavy. We made our way to the limo. He was the first to get inside. I climbed in after Esme and chose a corner seat farthest from him. I fixed my gaze outside the window and ignored them. I hoped he would drop me first before Esme.

The car slowed to a halt after 10 minutes. I was looking out the window. This wasn't Zavion's place.
