Author’s POV

“You have no idea what you are stepping into, do you?” Dillon said, his voice low and taunting.

Nonetheless, the man did not flinch, “Let her go.” He said, moving closer.

Dillon glanced at the other man still holding Hannah and shifted his gaze around seeing they were overpowered. He shrugged as if it were all a game,

“Do it.” He said defeatedly.

The rest of his men exchanged puzzled gazes. They’d been with the man, working under him for a long time, and never had they seen Dillon back away from a fight.

“Did you not hear me?” Dillon sneered, shooting a cold gaze at the man still holding Hannah.

Slowly, the man’s grip on Hannah’s arm loosened, and she stumbled forward, instinctively running towards the men in black, her legs shaky but determined.

As she reached them, the man with the jet-black hair grabbed her arm gently, shielding her from Dillon and his men.

He gestured to one of his men and quickly, they rushed towards him and took Hannah to one of their trucks, guardi

  • Hired My Ex's Sister as Wife   The Secret Meeting

SavannahI probably shouldn’t have sent that text, but it was too late to turn back now. The whole day, I’d been thinking about this situation, drumming up strategies, tactics, or anything I could do to not have to pay five hundred thousand dollars that I didn’t even have. But like I said, it was too late to turn back now. I had no other choice but to meet Tyrant and try to settle this. The night was too quiet. I made my way across the hallway of my dorm room, my bag slung across my shoulder, my phone clutched in one hand. I kept telling myself I shouldn’t be doing this, that sneaking off to meet the same man who threatened me was reckless. Stupid, even. But the thought of sitting still, of letting him hold the strings while I pretended not to notice, was worse. The air outside was cold and sharp, biting my skin as I walked. Every step felt heavier, like the weight of my choice was pressing down harder and harder the closer I got.The location he’d sent wasn’t flashy. No dark alley, n

  • Hired My Ex's Sister as Wife   Breaking Point

SavannahIt’s been a few days, and I was starting to believe that my life wasn’t going back to normal anytime soon. I kept trying, but every day I woke up with the same heavy feeling pressing down on me, the same pit in my stomach that refused to go away.Classes blurred together, and every day, I sat in lecture halls, nodding at professors, scribbling down notes I knew I’d never read again. Some students laughed around me, made plans for lunch, and whispered about weekend trips, but I couldn’t relate to any of it. However, I tried my best to fit in and smiled when I had to, but it felt like wearing a mask that didn’t fit anymore. And then the paranoia started. It wasn’t constant at first. Just quick flickers, like a shadow where it didn’t belong. A few times, I saw a car parked too long on the corner, and someone standing at the edge of the quad staring too long before turning away. Still, I tried to stay away from it. Told myself this wasn’t my fight anymore. But then I saw them.On

  • Hired My Ex's Sister as Wife   Normal Life Isn’t For Me

SavannahAfter Leo and I returned to campus, I tried to pretend everything was alright. That was the only way I knew how to keep moving forward…slip into routine, wear a smile, and convince everyone that I was fine. Campus was supposed to feel like normal life. I was supposed to participate in classes, have some coffee runs, and attend late-night study groups. The chatter in the halls, the rush of students trying to get to their next lecture. It was all still there, like the world hadn’t just tilted off its axis for me.But every step I took since I returned felt heavy. Every conversation I overheard sounded distant and muffled, like I was underwater. Some people laughed, some complained about assignments and made plans for the weekend, but my mind was far from any of this. Still, I nodded along when anyone talked to me, and forced smiles that didn’t quite reach my eyes, but inside I felt like a ghost walking through someone else’s life. Some days slipped by without me noticing, and t

  • Hired My Ex's Sister as Wife   Arrested

SavannahNoah’s words were still ringing in my ears. I called the police. At first, it sounded like some cruel joke. Maybe that was because I wanted it to be. But when my eyes met Noah’s, I could tell for sure that this wasn’t a joke, and that was when everything went loose. The room exploded after that. Leo cursed under his breath, shoving a chair back so hard it scraped the floor. I couldn’t sit still or even stand in one place. I was still processing what these words meant when I started pacing and circling the room, my heart thudding so loud I swore everyone could hear it.“What the hell did you do, Noah?!” I snapped, my voice cutting through the noise. “What were you thinking?”He stood there like a stone, arms crossed above his chest, and his face unreadable. But that calmness of his only made my blood boil hotter.“I was thinking,” he said evenly, “that I’m tired of sitting back and watching everyone suffer because of me. It’s time I took matters into my own hands.”I froze mid

  • Hired My Ex's Sister as Wife   The Threat

SavannahWhen I heard his demands, I couldn’t move. The words kept echoing in my head, replaying like a broken record, and the whole time, I wondered how I’d gotten myself in this situation. “Five hundred thousand dollars, or I take everything you’ve buried and scatter it for the world to see.” Those words would continue to haunt me unless I did something about it.There was a lot at stake here: the Ford name, my name, and the family’s legacy. The more I thought about it, the more my hands trembled. The message was short, direct, and dripping with the kind of menace that made my stomach knot. Half a million dollars wasn’t pocket change. And it wasn’t just about the money; it was the threat of exposure that twisted the knife deeper. That man knew things. Things that could destroy me, my reputation, and every carefully placed wall I’d built to keep the family business untouchable and out of this mess. For a long time, I couldn’t speak. I just sat there, staring at nothing and replaying

  • Hired My Ex's Sister as Wife   The Last Threat

SavannahIt was finally dusk and the sky was still dark when Noah and I crept through the overgrown fence line of the industrial plant, our breaths misting in the cold air. The warehouse loomed ahead like a dangerous beacon, and the closer we got towards it, the more I was faced with the fact that one wrong move could blow everything. We had decided to sneak in and find Leo as fast as possible. With the kind of manpower the dealers had, there was no way we could defeat them with just my small crew.I had three of my girls shadowing us, though Noah had argued against it the whole way here. They weren’t supposed to follow us in; they were to stay behind, out of sight, just in case things went wrong. Think of it as an insurance policy. Still, their presence made me feel less alone.“Stay close,” Noah whispered, his hand brushing mine briefly as we made our way towards the building, before he signaled me to crouch behind a stack of old crates.Through a crack in the metal siding, I saw tw
