“What are you talking about?” Grace asked, shooting her a curious stare.

Hannah looked disturbed, there was no easy way to say this. She knew what Grace’s reaction would be the minute she told her that she had gotten married.

“Well say it already Hannah? What is it?” Grace interrupted her train of thought.

Hannah heaved a deep sigh, stood from the bed, and walked toward her bedroom window with a troubled expression. Looking outside, she wished this could all go away. Her life had completely changed in just a few hours and she was losing control.

The worst part of this is that she knew she was trapped. There was nothing else to do, and even if there was, she had already signed the marriage contract and had just a few hours to hand it over to Ethan, and with Alfred Wolfe now after her, all her hopes of getting her life back had slithered away.

If she refused to marry Ethan Ford, surely it wouldn’t take long for Alfred to find her. But on the other hand, if she went ahead with this sha

Hannah froze when she heard Ethan’s words at the grocery store. "Why do I feel like you’re hiding something from me?"She hadn’t expected him to say that. Not so directly. Not with that quiet mix of confusion and pain in his voice. Her chest tightened, and for a long second, she just stood there with her grocery bags in hand, her heart racing. She could’ve told him then. Could’ve looked him in the eye and said, “I’m pregnant.”But instead, she smiled weakly, cleared her throat, and said, “Goodbye, Ethan.”Then she walked away. But she didn’t look back. She couldn’t. Later that evening, Ethan sat in his car outside the house, staring at the front door. He hadn’t planned to visit today, but something tugged at him. A gut feeling. Maybe it was the way she walked away earlier… maybe it was her eyes.He just needed to see the kids. Needed to remind himself that he still had a place here, even if everything else was falling apart. He knocked once and let himself in using the spare key. The

The next morning, the sun broke through the windows like it had every other day, but something inside Hannah had changed. Maybe it was the moment with her daughter. Maybe it was the way she’d cried so hard the night before and still managed to get up. Whatever it was, she decided she needed a bit of normal. So she threw on some jeans, a hoodie, and sunglasses and made her way to the grocery store. She told herself it was just for milk and fruit, maybe a few frozen meals. Nothing serious, but deep down, she just needed to get out of the house. Breathe. Pretend everything was fine for a little while. She walked into the grocery store and immediately went to the food section. At this point she couldn’t tell anymore whether it was just her cravings or not, but it felt relieving to be here. She turned the corner of aisle five, scanning for cereal, and then suddenly stopped, frozen in shock. There he was — Ethan. He was standing there, holding a box of granola bars, staring like he didn’t b

  • Hired My Ex's Sister as Wife   Silent Storm

Hannah stood in front of the bathroom mirror, her hand resting on her lower stomach. The test was still tucked inside the drawer, but the result lived in her head like an echo she couldn’t silence. She was pregnant. And she hadn’t told a soul. Not even Ethan. Especially not Ethan. She told herself she was just waiting for the right time. But the truth was, she was scared. What if he didn’t want it? What if he saw it as a mistake—something born out of a drunken night and confusion? What if he walked away? She couldn’t handle that. Not again. So she kept it a secret. Over time, it became a silent storm building inside her. That morning, she got ready for the Screenguild meeting. It was an important one. A well-known creative director would be attending, and there was talk about a new series being developed—a major project that could shift her entire career. She touched up her makeup, forced on a confident smile, and told the kids she’d be back soon.Julian texted her on the way: “Want m

The morning started like any other. Hannah sat at the edge of the couch, trying to push through the pounding in her head and the waves of nausea that wouldn’t stop. She hadn’t eaten much, and even the smell of toast made her stomach turn. At first, she had thought it was stress. Maybe her body was just reacting to everything—Ethan, Julian, the chaos of her life. But now she had found out what it really was, and even till now the thought of it sometime terrified her.She pressed a cold hand to her forehead and took a slow breath. Something didn’t feel right, and then suddenly, her phone buzzed beside her. It was a text from Ethan again. “I miss you.”She stared at it and her heart clenched. She didn’t know what to say anymore. She hadn’t replied to his last message either, and each silence made the space between them grow wider.Later that afternoon, she stood in the bathroom, staring at the pregnancy test box like it was mocking her. She paced the floor twice, then finally ripped it o

Since that day at the school play, Hannah had practically locked herself indoors. This situation with Ethan was weighing on her more and more. But she didn’t want to think about it anymore. She wasn’t sure when the dizzy spells started—maybe two, three days ago. At first, it felt like a wave of exhaustion washing over her. A slight headache, a moment of spinning when she stood up too fast, but then she started having nausea, but wrote it off as stress. She’d barely been eating, or sleeping. Her emotions were in chaos, and between Ethan’s silence, Julian’s hovering, and the constant needs of the kids, she could barely think straight. Still, she pressed on. That’s what she always did. This morning, the world tilted the second she got out of bed. She gripped the nightstand, steadying herself as a wave of heat flushed her skin. It passed quickly, but it left her rattled.“Just breathe,” she muttered to herself in the mirror. “You’re fine.”She splashed cold water on her face and forced h

It had been days since Ethan sent the message and still there was no reply. He had read it over and over again, trying to see if there was a tone he had missed, but the message was simple and clear. "We need to talk. Not about the kids—about us." But still, Hannah didn’t respond, and that silence was starting to feel like a wall between them.He told himself to let it go, to give her space, and so buried himself in work, trying to drown the ache. But even in the middle of back-to-back meetings and corporate fires, her name stayed in his mind like a quiet echo. But then came the school play. It was a Thursday evening, and Ethan almost didn’t show. He had gotten the memo, but did not know if Hannah really wanted him there. In addition, he had been drained by work the entire week, and he hated these public events—the fake smiles, the judging eyes, the press hoping to catch a soundbite or a scandal. But it was for the kids, and that mattered more than anything. That day, he wore a simple
