Chapter 352

Author: Kayla Sango
The chapel doors opened, and the first thing I heard was the soft sound of the organ echoing through the stone walls. The familiar melody filled the air, but it was the sight in front of me that truly stole my breath.

Nate stood at the altar, flawless in his black tuxedo, his hands clasped in front of him. But it was the look on his face that sent my heart racing. His green eyes were locked on mine with an intensity that felt powerful enough to stop time itself, a gentle smile playing on his lips as if he were watching a miracle unfold right before him.

"Ready, my daughter?" my father whispered at my side, offering his arm with that mix of pride and bittersweet emotion only fathers of brides ever seem to carry.

I nodded, still unable to take my eyes off Nate, and we began our walk down the center aisle.

Ahead of us, Ginger trotted proudly, a small velvet pillow strapped to her back, carrying our rings as if she fully understood the importance of her mission. Her golden fur glow

Madeline's POV I shifted comfortably in bed, feeling the soft mattress beneath me like it was hugging me, trying to pull me back into peaceful sleep. I was completely ready to give in and return to that world where there were no problems or worries, where everything was exactly as it should be. So I decided that twenty more minutes of sleep wouldn't hurt anyone and tugged the comforter closer, wanting to shield myself from the pleasant chill of the air-conditioning. But the comforter didn't move. I pulled harder. Nothing. It was stuck on something. Annoyed at whatever was keeping me from slipping back into dreams, I stretched my arm back, ready to shove whatever was on the bed out of the way. I froze. My eyes flew open when my hand hit something warm, solid, and very real. Yesterday came rushing back all at once, not giving me even a second to think. My head throbbed painfully, and I couldn't tell if it was from the memories or the aftermath of far too much alcohol. "Crap

There we were again, in business class. We were seated side by side with our hands intertwined over the armrest. The only difference was that now I wore a gold band that caught the cabin light with a soft glow, and the man next to me was no longer an attractive stranger I'd just met—he was my husband. A few months ago, sitting in this very position, I never could've imagined I'd be married to the man who had taken the seat beside me on a plane. And now, here we were, about to have one child, and about to adopt another. Already blessed with the most loving little dog in the world. Ginger had flown back on a private jet with Oliver and Sarah playing babysitters. The rest of the family took advantage of the fancy ride too. But Nate and I chose a commercial flight. We still couldn't have an official honeymoon until we went through the proper tests and got the doctor's approval, but we could allow ourselves a little nostalgia. "Still afraid of flying?" Nate asked, giving my hand a gen

The small chapel was only a few minutes from the mansion, but the trip there would be made with all the pomp a family like ours deserved. A row of classic cars was parked in front of the main entrance. There was a silver Rolls-Royce Phantom, two vintage Bentleys, and a classic 1950s Mercedes, all impeccably restored and decorated with white ribbons and small floral arrangements. Zoey stood beside me, making the final adjustments to my dress with professional precision. She carefully arranged every fold of the train, making sure the fabric wouldn't get caught in the car door when I stepped out. Her hands moved with meticulous care, as if she were preparing a work of art. "Done," she said, stepping back to admire the result. "You look perfect." The uniformed drivers waited respectfully, and I saw Bianca heading toward the second car with Sarah and Tori. Everything around us moved in an elegant, coordinated flow, like a perfectly rehearsed dance. Zoey was about to follow the others

My heart was pounding so hard I was sure everyone in the mansion could hear it. I gathered the hem of my dress in one hand and held Ginger's leash in the other as I walked down the hallway toward the room where Nate was getting ready. I'd been carrying this secret since we got back from Solara, since that moment in the hotel bathroom when Zoey held the test in her hands. Whatever those three minutes had revealed, I'd decided to wait until today to tell Nate. Ginger walked beside me, her collar decorated with a small white ribbon Zoey had insisted on tying there. "If she's going to witness the most important moment of your life, she needs to be dressed for the occasion," Zoey had said. I stopped in front of Nate's door and took a deep breath. From inside, I could hear Oliver and Christian joking about his tie, followed by Nate's laughter. My future husband. The man I would share all the years of my life with. I knocked softly. "Nate? Can I come in?" "Annie?" His voice sounde

One of the guest rooms at the Kensington mansion had been transformed into a full-on command center for the final preparations. Extra mirrors had been brought in and strategically placed, white flowers filled every available corner, and a soft lavender scent lingered in the air. I was already dressed, the satin of my gown catching the golden afternoon light streaming through the windows. The train spilled gracefully around me, and Ginger lay right at my side, her head resting delicately on part of the fabric. She seemed to understand the gravity of the moment, her golden eyes fixed on me with the kind of unconditional devotion only dogs can give. "She hasn't left your side since we got here," my mother said, carefully making the final adjustments to my veil. "It's like she knows today is special." "She knows," Zoey said, kneeling beside me as she fixed the hem of my dress. "Ginger's always been intuitive. Haven't you, sweetheart?" I gently stroked my golden retriever's soft hea
