LOGINAzure's POV
“You’ve allowed Mila to become a nuisance,” Nero snarled, his lips pulling back to show his teeth.
“I’m beginning to realize that.”
“You’re just beginning to? Right at this very second?” his patience was thinner than mine when it came to Mila. We’ve had an on again off again relationship for years, but I’ve always been clear that she’d never become my Luna.
“Transparent is apparently not clear enough for that she-wolf.”
Erin’s eyes bounced between where Nero stood and where Mila was leaning up against a tree. A few tense seconds passed before Erin moved towards Mila, outstretching her hand, “My name is Erin,” she offered her hand, but Mila stared down at it as though the very thought of shaking her hand disgusted her.
Before I could reel Nero back in, he moved towards the two wom
Erin's POV“Rin,” Rowan stood beneath the archway leading to the kitchen, a suitcase grasped firmly in his right hand. “That’s the second time I’ve snapped at you over someone as insignificant as Azure Blackwood.”I stood frozen, still standing in the exact place that I had been when he first walked up those stairs. The sound of his driver pulling into the driveway signaled that it was time for him to make his leave.“I shouldn’t have spoken to you that way,” he shook his head, not making a move to approach me, which I was grateful for. The thought of him being near me now made my stomach roll even more than before. “I’m sorry.”“Have a safe trip, Rowan,” I whispered, trying to keep all emotion from my voice. I want him to spend the next five days wondering how he’s planning on fixing this only to come home to an empty house and divorce papers.“That’s it?” my traitorous heart had the gall to flutter at the defeated tone in his voice.“Yes,” I nodded softly, finally meeting his gaze.
Erin's POV“You’re home early,” I forced a smile, walking back through the patio doors. The first thing I noticed was how loose Rowan’s tie was, but that wasn’t it…. A smear of nude gloss that appeared to have been poorly cleaned up remained on the collar of his white dress shirt.I couldn't tear my eyes from that tiny smear. Did he go straight to her side the moment I told him I was busy? Was the phone call simply to ensure he wouldn't be caught, not because he actually wanted to have lunch together?“Did I interrupt an important phone call?” I quickly flicked my eyes to his, blinking rapidly to fight the onset of tears. I blame pregnancy hormones...“Oh no,” I shook my head. “Just Andrea going over a few things for tomorrow.”Rowan hummed, “New story?” he gave me his back, digging through the fridge.“Mhmm.” I didn’t know wh
Erin's POV“I wouldn’t typically defend Az in this type of situation, but where Mila’s concerned; You don’t have anything to worry about,” Finn finally broke the tense silence that had stretched between us. “She will be punished for how she acted earlier.”“What do you mean, punished?” I whispered. My mind was still in a jumbled mess. I hated the way I acted earlier. Not only did I freeze up and spout nonsense towards that woman like I had any right to, but I found myself jealous that she was close to Azure.I was married, for God’s sake. I didn’t have any right to be jealous of what Azure did in his free time, and yet… It stung all the same. That woman was beautiful in ways that I never could be. She was tall and fit with perfectly straight, long icy white hair. Her eyes were a beautiful shade of sienna that looked somehow warmer beneath the sun. Everything abou

Erin's POVI nodded despite the thudding in my chest. To be honest, I was scared out of my mind. When Azure shifted into his beast before, I didn’t have time to truly process what I was seeing. The shock value had me wondering if I’d fallen and hit my head or if my imagination was just that vibrant. Azure put about ten feet of distance between us before grabbing the hem of his compression shirt and tugging it over his head. Holy. Fucking. Shit. It’s not possible for a man to look like that. He was built in all the right places without too much bulk, but what caught my eye was that perfect V that dipped beneath the waistband of his sweatpants. Attractive didn’t even begin to scratch the surface. Azure was the embodiment of perfection. “Just a warning,” Azure’s lips were pulled into a grin. “It’s a lot easier for werewolves to shift nude, so,” his thumb hooked beneath the fabric of his pants. “These have to go.”“Thanks for the warning,” I met his gaze, not backing down. He’d al
Erin's POVI stepped out of the room with trembling hands. My heart was still beating erratically from what had just transpired between Azure and me.The darker parts of me wanted to just give in. Rowan was a cheater, and I never would have found myself in Azure’s arms had he remained faithful. But that tiny voice in my head kept screaming that I was just as guilty. My marriage wasn’t over, and falling for Azure before things were finalized was dangerous.“Ready for a show?” he winked, and I nodded, unable to formulate words. My mouth felt dry, as though I’d swallowed an entire bag of sand without water. I wanted to apologize for pushing him away, but what the hell was I supposed to say?I’m sorry, I can’t seem to let go of the marriage vows my husband so easily took a shit on. Just thinking that makes me feel like a fool.“Do you mind if I pry for a moment?” Azure arched a brow, offering a hand as we stepped over some fallen trees.Once again, that warm feeling washed over me when
