Aiden POV

“Bro, come on!” My twin pleads with me, “You don’t have your mate yet, but it’s not like you are actively trying to find her either.”

“Reid, dad and mom found each other.” I said.

“Yeah, but one of them had to leave their pack. It was mom. Maybe this time, you need to leave the pack. Come on. One weekend, we will go to the coast in the southeastern region. You never know, maybe you will meet her. If not, you still got to see the ocean.” Reid said, negotiating with me.

I’m thirty-two years old. I took over for my dad as Alpha, fourteen years ago. Reid took over as Alpha at Blue Moon, since it was originally my mom’s pack, even though she only went there quarterly, otherwise her uncle managed the pack since he was closer.

Unlike Reid and Rory, my kid sister, I haven’t found my mate. Reid was mated to Navy, and Rory was mated to Jonah, which practically destroyed my dad. She was and remains the apple of his eyes, but he had to accept her growing up. Then Nala and Julian were mated when they turned eighteen. The only two not mated are Isaiah and me. Isaiah is twenty though. He still has time. Adrian found his mate at Blue Moon and went to be Reid’s beta there.

Me, I’m desperate to find my mate. Somehow, I don’t think she exists. I used to visit all the packs in the area, and each time, I came back home disappointed. Lately, I’ve been considering choosing a mate. No matter how hard I try to accept the idea though, I just can’t bring myself to do it.

I know there is one woman that has been hanging on me for a while now. Tina Clark. She is twenty-five years old. She could be Luna, just not my Luna. She’s pretty and has a gentle disposition about her, but Leon, my wolf, and I don’t trust her. I’m not sure what it is, but there is something about her that screams ‘red flag’.

Now Reid wants me to waste more time; going to the coast and having some fun, when I have a pack to run. He is relentless though. Mr. Party Til The Sun Comes Up, is not going to let this go. In my life, I have learned it’s easier just to give into him. “Goddess, you are relentless, Reid. Fine. We will go this weekend. If nothing happens, promise me you will drop the whole conversation.”

“Fine. But at the very least we are going to have some fun. You’ve always been too serious bro. I hope you find your mate and she drives you crazy.” He said laughing.

“Get the fuck out of here. I have work to do.” I said shaking my head.

If I find my mate, I hope she doesn’t mind that I work a lot. After the first ten years of not finding my mate, I’ve done nothing but work. I know mom is worried about me, but honestly, I can at least leave a good pack for Isaiah to take over if something happens to me. I don’t have an heir, so the pack would go to him. He is responsible like all of us Willis kids.

‘I know we have a mate, Aiden. Mood Goddess has blessed everyone around us with mates. We have one too, I know it.’ Leon said.

‘I’m not holding my breath anymore, Leon. I doubt we will ever find her, if she even exists.’

‘She exists Aiden. She has too. I bet she is beautiful too.’

I allow myself to daydream for just a second. If I had a mate, what would she look like? I bet she’d be curvy. Well, it would be nice if she were at least. Hair is not too long, but curly. I have always been attracted to women with big hair. Plus, if she is fearless like my mother was in her youth, I would love it. It would also be nice if she wasn’t an only child. Maybe the eldest, but not the only child. I just think it would be nice to have additional family. I hope she will want a big family with me too. I also hope she is smart. Not trying to act smart or intelligent, but actually smart. I mean, I could list every attribute I can think of, but it doesn’t matter. I don’t think she exists at this point.

‘Excuse me, Alpha?’ Dr. Moreno reaches out in the mind link.

‘Hey doc.’

‘Do you have a minute?’

‘Sure. Do you want me to swing by the hospital?’

‘I’m in the pack house. Do you mind if we meet in your office?’

‘Sure.’

When I get there, I can see that Dr. Moreno looks worried, even though he is trying to hide it. “What’s going on, doc?”

“My nieces are looking for a place to stay. They are having difficulties at home, and they reached out to me. They are good girls and won’t be any trouble.” Dr. Moreno says, as he gets to the point very quickly.

“What pack are they from?”

“They live in the human world on the coast, Alpha. They don’t have a pack.”

Interesting. No pack. They live in the human world, what kind of difficulties would they have there? Wolves are stronger than humans.

“I see, how old are they?”

“The eldest is twenty-four years old and the youngest is seventeen and will be eighteen in the next couple of months. Their mother, Blanca asked me if I could take them in and I told her I needed to clear it through you first.”

Well, with no pack, I don’t have to do transfer paperwork. Technically, they are rogues. But Dr. Moreno has always been an upright pack member. If he says they are good girls, then I believe him.

“Okay. But I would like to meet them when they get here. How long before they arrive?”

“Thank you, Alpha! They can be here in a month.”

“Alright, I will meet them when they get here. You can let their mother know.”

  • His Deadly Mate: Book 2 of The 'His' Series   Chapter 133: Getting nowhere

Sinclair POVI’ve been back for a couple of months now. I haven’t spoken much to Kaia since we returned. She said she is planning her exit and it’s going to be epic. I on the other hand have not been able to see my siblings or foster dad.None of them ever have time for me and it makes me sad that even though, I grew up with them, they have always treated me like an outsider. I’ve stopped trying to reach out at this point and I don’t think I’m going to attempt again. Clearly, I’m not important to them and I never was.I wish I could find my real family. I wonder if they just didn’t want me or if they wanted me but couldn’t take care of me. I see older women that look old enough to be my mother and think about what features I share with my mother and how much of my features are my father’s. Are they still together or did they split up? Are they married with new families and do I have half siblings. I also wonder if they ever think about me. What if they don’t think about me?The adopti

  • His Deadly Mate: Book 2 of The 'His' Series   Chapter 132: Time Flies

Thalia POVIt’s been a couple of months since my father was disposed of and for that matter, so was Rose. It’s been peaceful here, but my abuelo and tio Valeno are still here. Tio Valeno is traveling back and forth to keep up with the pack, but every time he returns, he brings more books to go over everything regarding the prophecy. I also try to figure out how that plays with the merging of Ironclaw and meeting people that would be foes but end up being friends and help us in winning the war. I have two years, well one year and ten months now, to figure everything out. When I give birth to our daughters, then training will begin at Obscure Maw. Aiden and I will take our daughters with us and I will finally meet more of my mother’s family. I thought I didn't have any family other than my mom and siblings, and it turns out I have way more and it’s only growing as I rub my belly.Lately, our daughters have been doing the salsa and trying to rearrange my insides. It’s driving me insane.

  • His Deadly Mate: Book 2 of The 'His' Series   Chapter 131: Teaming up

Rodrigo POVLast night, Julian and I had a long conversation. At first, I didn’t want to hear him out at all. He was with Armando and after everything I learned about my father and then about Armando from Thalia, being in an alliance with Julian seemed like a terrible idea. That was until he told me how he was prepared to go through a hostile takeover of the family business if I refused the alliance. I told him I needed time to process everything with my family and to give me a couple of days to be clearer headed to hear him out.Honestly, what I was trying to do was buy time. I wanted to go through all of the company records and see what kind of liquidity there was before meeting with him. If we are bigger and stronger financially, then I could tell Julian to kick rocks. Unfortunately, however, our ledgers are in the red.My dad really was an asshole. It all makes sense now. He wanted the marriage alliance with Thalia and Armando to work because it would have given him access to funds

  • His Deadly Mate: Book 2 of The 'His' Series   Chapter 130: Seeing everyone off

Aiden POVAfter a very pleasurable afternoon and wearing my little tiger out, I got up to take a quick shower and cleaned up my mate. If this is how she is going to be when she is pregnant, then I understand why she is going to be constantly pregnant and I’m not complaining. She is absolutely insatiable and I am here for every second of it.She is still asleep and I decided to go to the dining hall to grab a couple of plates of food and bring it back to her. She is probably going to be starving when she wakes up. As I make my way down the stairs, I run into Isaiah.“I would have thought you left by now.” I said.“I needed to pack a bag and finish up some work items before I left. I am getting ready to leave after I get some food in me. I may just ask for something I can eat along the way.” Isaiah said."Cool, well I’m heading to the dining hall. Walk with me.” I said.“Where’s Thalia?”“Passed out on the bed.” I smirked. “I’m going to bring her a plate.”Isaiah smirked as he understood

Thalia POVRodrigo left. It felt bittersweet. I thought perhaps he would stay a little longer or permanently. When he said he didn’t have any business being in a pack when he didn’t have his wolf, I felt a pang in my chest.I waited so long to have what felt like family. • His Deadly Mate: Book 2 of The 'His' Series   Chapter 128: Leaving

Rodrigo POVI’ve spent plenty of time in Blackstone. My sisters are good. My father is dead. Armando is dead. Luca seems like a good guy and even though Aiden and Thalia finished my dad off, I’m not mad at them. My father had it coming. Aiden takes good care of Thalia, and I guess that’s a good thing. I can’t believe how deep the manipulation ran with my father. It doesn’t matter anymore though.I spent time with Abuelo Damaro and Tio Valeno. It was interesting getting to know them. Mom was also very happy that I was no longer holding a grudge against Thalia and Mia. I’m not, but I am still in my feelings. Both of them are Lunas of their packs. They both have their wolves and because of a lie, I lost mine. I’m no better than a human now. I never did anything to anyone either. Sure, I may have disliked my sisters because of my father’s influence, but I never took action against them.I told my mom that I made the decision to head back home and continue running the family business with t
