Chapter Twenty Nine

“Sir… a hundred million dollars mansion was bought under your son’s name in Victoria BC, Uplands. It was paid with the black card. I just saw the transaction today,” the Grayson family account manager said through the phone.

Richard, who had been going through business files in his study, stopped breathing for a second. He slowly put the pen down.

“I don’t remember buying any property,” he replied.

The account manager sounded nervous. “Yes, sir. That’s why I called. The purchase was completed last week. Signed under an anonymous name. We traced the payment to Damien’s black card.”

Richard pinched the bridge of his nose. “Damien’s card?”

“Yes sir. Only his card was used for the payment. Full amount. No loan, no share transfer. Just one payment.”

Richard stood to his feet. For a moment, he didn’t speak. He stared at the bookshelves in his study like he was trying to make sense of everything.
