Becky's jaw dropped as she felt a wave of shock wash over her. Resign? Or get fired? She couldn't believe what she was hearing. She had just started this job, and she was already being asked to leave? It didn't make any sense.

"Why?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper. "What have I done wrong?"

William's expression was unreadable as he replied, "It's not about what you've done wrong, Becky. It's about...us. Me and You. The complications. And I don't think it's a good idea for us to work together."

Becky felt a surge of anger and hurt at his words. Complications? Was that what she was to him? She thought about all the times they had clashed, all the times he had hurt her. And now, he was asking her to leave her job?

"No," she said, her voice firm. "I won't resign. I just started this job, and I'm not going to let you push me out."

William's eyes narrowed slightly as he replied, "Fine. Then I'll have to let you go. The choice is yours."

Becky's heart was racing as she realized the gravity of the situation. She was trapped in a power struggle with her ex-husband, and she wasn't sure if she was going to come out on top. But one thing was for sure - she wasn't going to go down without a fight.

Becky's eyes flashed with defiance as she said, "Fine, do what you want." William's expression was unreadable as he nodded and walked off, leaving Becky feeling bitter and powerless.

As she watched him walk away, Becky felt a wave of emotions wash over her. She felt weak and vulnerable, like she had been stripped of her dignity. It had been a long time since she had felt this way, but the feeling was all too familiar. It was the same feeling she had experienced when she was waiting for a heart transplant, unsure if she would even be able to afford the surgery.

The memories came flooding back, and Becky felt herself being transported back to that dark time in her life. She felt the same sense of desperation, the same feeling of being trapped. And now, with William's ultimatum hanging over her, Becky felt like she was reliving that nightmare all over again.

She rushed to the toilet, tears streaming down her face as she locked herself in a stall. She cried uncontrollably, feeling like she was at the end of her rope. Just as she was starting to compose herself, someone walked out of the toilet stall next to hers.

Becky quickly cleaned her face and came out of her stall but immediately turned around, trying to hide her tears. But as she turned, she was shocked to see Ellen, William's fiancée, standing in front of her. Becky's expression was cold as she gazed at Ellen, knowing that she was the woman William had chosen over her.

"Look who we have here," Ellen said, her voice dripping with malice. "The divorced ex." Becky's eyes narrowed as she replied, "I'm not in the mood, Ellen."

But Ellen just laughed, her eyes glinting with amusement. "Oh, please," she said, taking a step closer to Becky. "You think you're above all this? You think you're better than me?" Becky felt a surge of anger as Ellen's words cut deep. She tried to push past Ellen, but Ellen blocked her way.

"You know, I've been watching you," Ellen said, her voice low and menacing. "I've seen the way you look at William. You think you still have a chance with him?" Becky's eyes flashed with anger as she replied, "I don't want anything to do with him."

“What are you then doing here? Or didn’t you come to see him?”

Becky remained silent, and Ellen just laughed again, her eyes flashing with malice. And then, in a sudden movement, she reached out and hit Becky across the face.

“Bitch!” She cursed. “Stay away from my man. You divorced him already, why leaching around?”

Becky felt a searing pain as she stumbled backwards, her vision blurring. She tried to defend herself, but Ellen was relentless, hitting her again and again. This time on her chest, pushing her backwards.

“Stay the hell away from my man!”

Becky felt herself falling, her body crashing to the floor. She tried to cry out, but her voice was muffled. And then, everything went black when her head hit the ground.

Her eyes widened as she read the message:"Dear Becky,We regret to inform you that we have decided to let you go, effective immediately. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate the brief time you spent with our team. Unfortunately, your performance and adaptability did not meet our expectations, and we feel it is best to part ways.Sincerely,[Management]"Becky felt like she'd been punched in the gut. The nurse smiled sympathetically as he approached Becky's bedside. "Okay, now that you're feeling a bit better, I need to take some blood for a few tests," he said, preparing the equipment.Becky's expression turned skeptical. "Is it really necessary? I'm fine now. My memory's back, and I just want to get out of here," she said, trying to pull her arm away. The nurse gently held her arm in place. "I'm afraid it's necessary, Becky. We need to run some tests to make sure you're okay. Just a small prick, and it'll be over soon," he reassured her.Becky sighed, reluctantly agreeing to the test. As the nurse took her blood, she winced slightly at the needle's pinch. The nurse then handed her a small cup. "Now, I need you to pee into this cup for a urine test," he said with a friendly smile.Becky took the cup, feeling a bit embarrassed. "Okay, got it," she said, heading towards the toilet. As she locked the door behind her, Becky caught a glimpse of herself in the mirror. Her eyes looked t

Waking up in a hospital bed can be disorienting, especially when you don't remember how you got there or what happened. Becky slowly opens her eyes to find herself surrounded by sterile hospital equipment and strangers in medical attire. The beeping of machines and faint murmurs of conversations in the background only add to her confusion. As she tries to piece together her memories, a nurse notices she's awake and approaches her bedside. "Good day, Mrs. Can you tell me your name?" the nurse asks gently. Becky's mind goes blank, and she struggles to recall even the simplest details about herself.“Becky.” She mouthed. “Becky Stewart.”“Okay, Becky, can you remember what happened?” The nurse asked Becky. Becky's eyes widened as she struggled to recall even the simplest details about herself. "I...I don't know," she stammered, feeling a wave of panic wash over her. "I don't remember anything."The nurse's expression was reassuring. "It's okay, that's normal. We suspected that you fel

Becky followed her supervisor, Ms. Patel, to her new workstation. Ms. Patel introduced her to her team and explained her job responsibilities. As she listened intently, trying to absorb as much information as possible, Ms. Patel handed her a thick manual and told her to review it before starting her tasks. Just as she was about to begin, the office fell silent, and everyone rose to their feet. Becky looked up to see William standing in the doorway, his commanding presence filling the room. He was tall and imposing, with broad shoulders and a confident stride. His eyes scanned the room, and when they landed on her, he locked gazes with her, his expression unreadable. As he strode towards her, the employees parted, greeting him with a chorus of "Good morning, sir." Ms. Patel curtsied slightly, her voice formal. "Good morning, sir. Can I help you with something?" William's gaze never left Becky's face as he asked, "Who is she?" Ms. Patel looked at Becky nervously before

The next day, Becky's phone beeped with a job acceptance offer from the company she had applied to the night before. She jumped with joy, feeling a sense of relief wash over her. She was going to have a job, and she was going to be able to support herself. She quickly rushed to the bathroom to get ready, dressing in the only decent outfit she had. She put on a white blouse and a pair of black pants, trying to look as professional as possible. She didn't have time to eat breakfast, and she didn't have any money to buy food anyway. At 7:55 AM, she rushed out of her apartment building and hailed a taxi. She arrived at the company, NovaTech, at 8:00 AM sharp. She took a deep breath, smoothing out her clothes and trying to compose herself. As she rushed to the elevator, she saw a man about to step inside. "Wait!" she called out, rushing towards him. "Can you hold the elevator for me?" The man turned and saw Becky rushing towards him. He smiled and held out his hand to stop th
