Lila quietly opened the door, peeked to both sides of the hallway, then smiled widely before adjusting her small backpack and stepping out.

She was still smiling when she came out of the hallway and saw Thorne standing there, which almost startled her.

She gulped, feeling a flicker of nervousness, but kept her smile in place. “Good morning, Thorne. I hope you had a good night’s rest.”

Thorne inclined his head slightly.

“Where are you off to this morning, Miss?” he asked, and Lila’s smile grew warmer.

“I’m attending summer coaching at my school,” she replied brightly.

“Let me get Graves then,” Thorne said, starting to turn away.

Lila reached out quickly to stop him, shaking her head. “I’m fine, Thorne. You don’t have to get Graves to follow me, please.” Her eyes held a quiet plea, but Thorne shook his head.

“I’m sorry, Miss. That’s the instruction given to us, and you won’t make us defy our boss’s orders.” He smiled faintly. “Besides, the boss is around this morning. He’s in the traini

  • His Little Temptress    Sleeping Temptation

The casino was alive with flashing lights, the clink of glasses, and the hum of over a hundred conversations. But the moment Damien stepped through the golden double doors, the air shifted immediately. His black coat swept behind him, his steps stable yet loaded with a force that made people instinctively part in his way. Blade followed at his side, scanning every corner like a hunting dog.Damien’s gaze then locked onto Yelena at one of the high-limit poker tables. She was clad in shimmering emerald silk, laughing softly with a man in a tailored suit, her hand grazing his as she took the cards. The laughter died the instant she noticed Damien.Without saying anything, Damien closed the distance, his hand clamping firmly around her wrist. Yelena’s smile faltered, replaced with a cold look as he dragged her away from the table. Gasps and whispers followed, but no one dared intervene. He didn’t stop until they reached a shadowed corridor behind the casino floor, away from the music and

Lila wanted to run, but her feet refused to move. Panic clawed up her throat, making it hard to breathe as the man closed in on her. Her pulse hammered so hard that she could feel it in her temples.“You are gonna love it,” he murmured with a crooked grin, closing the space between them.Suddenly, his eyes went wide, his mouth opening as if to speak but no sound came. He froze, then crumpled forward, hitting the ground with a heavy thud.Lila’s breath hitched when she saw a knife jutted from his neck, the steel glinting under sunlight. She looked up to see Graves standing there, calm and natural as if the danger had never existed. She let out a startled cry, covering her mouth. “It’s alright, Miss. I’m here now,”Graves said softly, a faint smile tugging at his lips as if to steady her trembling.Lila was still clutching her chest, her breath coming in shaky gasps, when her gaze lifted and caught sight of another figure looming behind Graves.“Graves!” she cried out in panic.Graves r

  • His Little Temptress    Echoes of His Warning

“There are four main attachment styles which are secure, anxious, avoidant, and disorganized,” the short round man said, adjusting the fedora perched neatly on his head. His voice carried easily across the lecture hall, and the class listened with quiet focus, pens balanced above their notebooks.“A secure attachment is formed when a child feels safe, seen, and consistently cared for and this tends to lead to healthier adult relationships. Anxious attachment, on the other hand, often stems from inconsistent caregiving, which can make a person crave closeness yet fear abandonment.” The man’s gaze kept drifting toward Asher, whose attention never strayed from a focused Lila. From his seat in the third row, Asher rested his chin in his palm, watching her as if she were the only beautiful thing that still mattered in his world.“Avoidant attachment usually stems from emotionally distant caregiving, which often leads to self-reliance and, you know, a certain discomfort with intimacy,” the

  • His Little Temptress    Blush and Shame

Damien drove into the estate and stopped right in front of the villa. His heart was still pounding in his chest as he stepped out and walked around to the backseat. Lila had finally passed out, her breathing slow and steady now.He stared down at her for a long moment, as if unsure of what to do next. Then he reached in and carefully pulled her into his arms.Just as he turned toward the house, the front door opened and his men stepped out. The sight of their boss carrying Lila knocked the smiles off their faces. They exchanged uneasy glances as they rushed forward.“What happened to her, boss?” Graves asked, his voice low.Damien didn’t answer. He simply handed Lila over to him, his jaw clenched tight.“Take her to her room and get her something for the hangover, Thorne” he instructed. Then without sparing another glance, he turned and headed into the house. The way he moved fast, almost like he was running made his men pause. They watched him go, all of them frowning except for Blad

“Do you have any idea what you’ve done?”“She said she was fine,” Silver replied quickly. “I didn’t think—”“No, you didn’t!” Damien snapped, his jaw tightening. “You fucking sat there and watched her drink something that would knock out a grown man. You think that’s fine?”The weight of his fury pulled everything quiet around them and even the guards were staring now. A few people had risen from their seats, watching with quiet interest, sensing the violence that simmered beneath his skin.Damien didn’t care about the attention. His only concern was the girl now slumped over the table, completely knocked out.He looked at her again, softer now, then turned to Silver once more.“If anything happens to her,” he said quietly, “you’ll wish you stopped her.”Then he stooped down, picked Lila up in his arms, grabbed her clutch, and started walking away. All eyes followed him as he moved, then slowly turned back to a seething Silver. Her anger was written all over her face, and the way peop
