Chapter 1

Bryco blew air before he entered the entrance of the large cave where their pack was gathering. He looked around at the werewolves who were purely howling.

“Owooooooh!” his loud growl that caused everyone to fall silent.

The gathered werewolves separated. They made a big road between them for Bryco.

He had already begun to walk to where his parents and siblings were.

It was time for him to step into his family's position when he returned in human form.

He stood up. He was winded because of the distance he had run before. Likewise, he looked behind him. Everyone became human again.

According to the scripture of the Midnight Storm Pack, the wolf -like appearance of their pack on the first full moon of the month takes only two hours. It was about Eleven o'clock, so he became human again.

He looked at his father.

“Forgive me, Father, for the reason that I was caught in this meeting. Again-”

Bryco could not continue his line when his father suddenly kicked him.

“Silence, Bryco! For 300 years, you've never done right! You haven't been a good example in this pack! How can you be a good king? You don't deserve to be called Alpha Bryco of the Midnight Storm Pack!” thunderous shout of his father.

Bryco bowed in response and apologized to his father.

“Bryli, you shouldn't embarrass him in front of the pack, he is their future king! One more thing, even if he's your son he'll be king and you in turn will just his subject. Respect him,” his mother, Consuelo, begged his father.

“Father did the right thing, Mother! It's not the habit of a future king that Bryco shows and lives by. He's not young anymore. He's 300 years old,” replied Brydon, Bryco's older brother.

He stared at his brother. He had never heard Brydon camped and defended him. The truth of the matter is that he often finds Brydon happy when their father scolds him. He thought that his brother might have a secret hatred for him.

“Shut up, Brydon! Don't you ever speak when I spea! Think of me as the Alpha of this pack,” his father reminded him.

Their subjects murmured. He saw how his father looked down.

“What's that? What is the cause of that whispering?” his father asked throughout their pack.

Their subjects looked at each other. No one despised to come forward to speak for their grievance.

“I'm asking you all! What are those eloquent tongues whispering?” his father asked angrily.

He looked at their subjects. He saw how Dorothy swallowed when the woman saw her naked body. The woman wet the middle of her lips before she bit the lower part of it. Bryco knows that Dorothy likes him, but he has no feelings for the woman. He looked at the woman as a subject and nothing more.

Bryco turned his gaze to one of their subjects, who stepped forward and bowed in respect for their family. He is Kayne, the brother of Dorothy.

The sound of the man clearing his throat echoed. He followed where the man's gaze had was shot. The man stares at Bryco's sister, Feli. Feli is only 100 years old, this sister of him is the one who took over the position of the late Elenia who gives a prophecy of what will happen in the future.

“Why don't we find out from our dear Feli what will happen in the days to come? The first few full moons have already taken place, but our appointed king has yet to find a mate. More than 50 years have passed since it was announced to the whole pack that he is following in the footsteps of Alpha Bryli, but nothing is happening. Can you reveal your prophecy to the entire pack, Your Highness?” the man said as he continued to stare at Feli.

Feli's facial reaction changed. Bryco knew that his sister could not reveal the prophecy when it was not the designated time for it.

“My sister is out of condition, Kayne. Don't worry because I assure you-”

“We're tired of the promise. We are so tired of waiting too long for you to sit as the next Alpha and king of the Midnight Storm Pack, Your Majesty,” Kayne insisted.

He just swallowed. He thought that if only the two of them were facing each other now, his stomach would be full of scratches and bruises because he would beat him to death.

His forehead furrowed as he saw Feli made steps to the front.

“Feli,” he mentioned in his sister's name, but Feli didn't hesitate to continue.

They all covered their eyes when the light appeared from Feli's palms. The wind blew harder and the light shone even harder throughout the cave.

Feli clasped her hands so the dazzling light left. She catches her breath because of the energy she has expended to proclaim the prophecy she has seen.

Feli closed her eyes. “Come, Bryco, let me touch your hand,” said his sister.

His sister stepped closer to meet his way. He raised his hand and handed it to Feli. Feli now sees the prophecy. Feli opened her eyes, but she still held Bryco's hand.

“Under the blue and full moon, the eyes of the once-met stared. Love will begin to reign throughout the Midnight Storm Pack. The future is inescapable. The mate of the appointed king is already seen. The two will bond. Hearts that have the same desire, to improve the whole p-pack!” Feli's statement before her voice broke.

Bryco felt his sister let go of his hand.

“Feli,” he said,, and he immediately caught up his sister.

He looked to his father to give the signal for their subjects to leave. His father got what he wanted to convey.

“Now that we have heard the prophecy of our Highness Feli, hopefully we can still wait. Feli's prophecy is certain. I'm aware that the destined night is near,” said his father. “Everyone can leave,” he added.

Almost at the same time, their subjects changed and transformed to wolves. They looked up and growled at the same time to agree with their Alpha.

When he and his family were the only ones left, he looked at his parents.

“This is what I am avoiding. Before the pack, I wanted you to be safe, especially Feli. We know that when she is forced to prophesy, her strength will be reduced,” he said.

Her father cleared her throat. “Forgive me, son. I just don't want everything to be uncertain. You are lined up to follow in my footsteps. I hope you take your assigned responsibilities in our real world seriously. Always remember that the whole pack depends on you,” his father's apology to him.

His lips drew a smile.

He remembered the mate he had chosen. That mortal was the real reason why he was late in their gathering. His mate was petrified of him, but that woman did not lose her beauty

.

He shook his head and forcefully returned his mind to the present.

“Your father is right, Bryco. Hopefully, in the first full moon next month, you will introduce the mate you have selected to us. So that you will be declared as the Alpha of the Midnight Storm Pack,” his mother said.

“Don't let the entire pack expect on nothing, Bryco. It's embarrassing to them! They are talking behind us for almost 300 years,” his brother Brydon threatened.

He nodded at each of them. He was nervous about what his family said. Not only that, but he does not know if they will accept if he tells them that the mate he has picked is a human being, and they are not of the same race.

“I will do everything to protect the entire Midnight Storm Pack. I also make sure that they stop saying unpleasant things about our family. The prophecy that Her Highness Feli said will come true in the near future,” he said with a smile. “This time we have to go to ascertain Feli's condition,” he added.

They nodded at him. They changed form and eventually became wolves. He carried Feli on his back and he immediately ran home to their mansion.

He could feel how the waters from the grass wet his fur. Furthermore, he didn't care that he was getting wounds because of the twigs ang thorns on his way. There was only one thing he wanted to happen this time, and that was to make sure his sister was in good condition.

They finally arrived at the mansion. They returned themselves to human form. He kindly laid his sister down on the soft and comfortable mattress. Until now, Feli is still unconscious. His sister lost a lot of energy, perhaps in the effort to discover the prophecy.

“Son, your arms are bleeding,” his mother said.

His gaze fell on his wounded arms. Now he felt how some parts of his body swollen because of wounds.

“Let me treat you,” said his mother.

Bryco turned and shook his head. “I can handle myself, Mother.” He narrowed a smile so as not to upset his mother.

He transformed and became a wolf. He licked the wounds on his body. As his tongue touches his wounds, and they heal spontaneously. When he was sure that he had no wounds, he returned to being human.

“Get dressed. I'll take care of Feli. We'll just wait a few more hours. If she doesn't wake up yet, I'll call the Royal Doctor of our pack to check on her,” his father said.

They agreed with his father. They bowed for a moment before leaving the room where Feli was.

Bryco went to his room. He immediately went straight to the bathroom. He entered the shower area, and he immediately went to the bottom. Furthermore, he turned on the shower. Bryco looked up, and his handsome face met every drop of water from above.

He closed his eyes and savored the taste of the kiss of water on his skin. He was relaxed because of the lukewarm water spitting out of the shower.

Likewise, he washed and thoroughly soaped his whole body. He surpassed a god in the beauty of his body, it was full of abs, and he had hard muscles that any woman would want to touch and feel.

He remembered what had happened before their gathering in the sacred cave.

“What was the meaning of that prophecy?” he asked himself.

The radiance of the blue and full moon earlier was bright. That's also what Feli said according to her vision. His eyes met that woman's eyes. Perhaps his heartbeat quickened while they were staring at each other.

“How could a future Alpha mated with a mortal? It can't be. I just chose her and the prophecy didn't mention that my mate is a human,” he said.

He opened his eyes and turned off the shower. He exited the shower area.

Not only that, but he walks naked, so his manhood shaken. The water from his wet hair was dripping and hitting the white tiles of his room.

He wiped his body and hair with a white, soft towel. He also immediately got dressed.

After being dressed up, he decided to went to Feli's room. When he opened the door, he saw the Royal Doctor of the Midnight Storm Pack sitting beside his unconscious sister. The doctor is examining his sister. There were also leaves tied to Feli's head, he guessed that these leaves were medicine.

“How is my sister?” he asked the doctor.

The doctor stood up and looked at him.

“Feli couldn't control her mind earlier. She let her mind open the prophecy that should have come naturally. The next time Feli does this thing, she could be in danger,” said the doctor.

Bryco felt pity for his poor little sister when he heard the doctor's words. This is undoubtedly what he was saying. He was very annoyed with Kayne. He was the reason his sister suffered. Furthermore, he clenched his fists.

“It's Kayne's fault!” he said in an angry tone.

“It's your fault! If you deliberately find your mate and don't rely on Feli anymore, everything won't end like this. You're so irresponsible! I can't get why Father chose you to be the heir to his position!”

He glared at his brother Brydon.

“Elenia's prophecy said it, Brydon. Not our father,” he said.

“Sometimes I doubt the prophecy. You don't deserve it!"

“In that case, who's worthy, Brydon? You!? You know, the truth really comes out, no matter how much you keep it. It turns out that you want you to be the one who will Father selects to be the next king and be called Alpha of our pack!” he said.

“I'm not saying anything like that!” Brydon's thunderous shout and all of a sudden, he turned into a wolf.

Bryco felt how his blood boiled inside his veins, so he suddenly got ready to attack his brother.

“Stop this nonsense, you idiots!” His father shouted before he could transform.

His brother has also returned to being human. Yet, Brydon's eyes were still fighting with his.

“You are embarrassing to our guest. The Royal Doctor is a respectable man, but you have shown him a rude attitude.” his father's sermon to them.

Her eyebrows almost met. He was so angry with his brother that he decided to leave the room. He hit Brydon's right arm before he finally left.

He had become accustomed to his brother's behavior. Brydon did nothing but oppose him. Even if his brother did not say so, he knew that he was very jealous of him. He knew that Brydon wanted Dorothy, but that woman wanted him.

He headed to their garden. He took a deep breath and preferred to inhale the fragrance of white and red roses in bloom. The wind gently swayed the petals of the roses that became the ruling scent in the middle of the garden. Somehow, the fragrance of the flowers soothed Bryco's feeling.

Bryco looked up and smiled as he looked at the blue and full moon.

“Tonight I saw her. I whispered in my heart that I will look for the mate I selected. Even though she is mortal and not of my kind, I will make sure to have her,” he said with a smile. “Moon that watches me, bring my heart to the woman I saw earlier. Her fear will be erased, and it will be replaced by complacency. I make sure her destiny will drive her to my way!” he added.

He closed his eyes and inhaled the smell all around again. The fragrance of the garden is fragrant and tender. The next time he looks at the full moon, he asks to be with the woman who has fascinated his sleeping heart for hundreds of years.
